Our room is not in the main building. We have to walk upstair to a first floor high extension building. My booking hasn't mentioned this. It just like a B&B room, but this is a 3 stars hotel. If I know before hand, I will not book this hotel.

Been before good facilities ie Swimming pool and nightly entertainment Couldn't find fault nice comfortable room warm.Couldnt complain about breakfast and dinner Will certainly return in the near future.Would reccomend to anyone.It was all in for a bargain price

We were on a turkey and tinsel break and it was smashing! Room was clean and comfortable, good choice of food with plentiful portions, engaging entertainment, comfortable guest seating around the hotel, lovely warm small swimming pool. Situated slightly out of town but bus stop straight outside the hotel so easy to get to Padstow, Truro etc. However the best thing for us was the staff. Despite being short staffed while we were there they were efficient and exceptionally friendly going out of their way to ensure guests were happy and well cared for. Well done the Barrowfield team we will look forward to returning in the New Year!

Mediocre at best
Staff were lovely and helpful. BUT….. black mould in the bathroom! Enough to trigger my asthma. Breakfast was cold every day and the coach holiday people were always seen to first! I requested some toast for my little one and never got it. The high chair was disgusting…… mould in the creases! We did not have lunch or dinner at the hotel for this reason.
The pool was nice however!

Shocking awful
SHOCKING SERVICE WE WAITED 30 mins to seat for breakfast then another 30 mins and no one took our order so we left even tho we paid for breakfast and had to spend more money then expected to find other food. The rooms are old fashaned and light shades dirty then on the Sunday we went for a drink in the bar and there was no service And no one at the reception to ask 30 mins later someone come back and didn’t even apologise. The only good thing about this hotel was the swimming pool.

Our stay if I'm honest was nothing out of the ordinary or anything too special. We got what we expected and was good enough for us to visit again as usual. But I must say... our waiter for the week made our trip so much more memorable than usual. He was witty, charming and friendly, nothing was a problem, even when he was rushed off of his feet. If there was more people like Chris in this company we'd probably never go back home. Look forward to visiting the barrowfield again. We that much fun.

My first coachtour with Daishs and won't be the last.!They know what elderly people want. Paid£50 solo supplement, which is normal apparently. Coach had done 502,000 Kms in 6 years and still ran like new! Room very bright, quality firm mattress and linen,large shower which worked well. All meals were of good quality, although portions were small, perfectly adequate.Outsanding soups and coffee particularly nice. Neal and John couldn't be faulted as drove very well through the narrow lanes. Not easy. All I can say is wel done Daishs, and at 80, would use your firm again.

The building itself was okay, if not very old fashioned. The pool area was nice but limited to 8 at a time so we had to wait a little while. The room had almost no plug sockets and no WiFi in the rooms which wasn't ideal when signal is poor. Staff were lovely and very helpful when the electricity went out when we got in. Beds were comfortable and overall not bad but limited in what it provides.

Visited on a coach trip. Enjoyed the week overall- staff were very helpful and friendly. Think it would have been better to have 2 sittings for meals as food was often not hot enough and would have been good to have fresh vegetables not frozen. The Entertainment Room was not big enough for the number of guests and not really warm enough. 1 evening we could not find a seat anywhere not even in foyer. We were however very comfortable and warm in our room.
