It was a convenient and easy to understand place just across the road station and footbath.
The cleaning was well done and I was able to spend it comfortably.
The food was delicious. Especially the breakfast buffet was good.
I think it is a good hotel in Cospa.
It was good that the large communal bath was large, but I wish it was a hot spring of a more habitual type because the hot spring was tasteless and odorless.

Hotel Ohashi Yakatanoyu Ryokan has a Kaiyu-style garden called Seiga-en and there are varieties of trees which create beautiful views to dazzle the eyes from spring to fall. Please take a stroll in the evening after the bath for refreshing and enjoy an excellent atmosphere of Iwamuro. The hotel's garden open-air baths and seasonal cuisine mainly fresh seafood are very popular.

This is a revisit of Ku 々. This bedrock bath is my first experience. It's near the entrance, but first wash your body in the large communal bath in the back of the inn. So change into Samue and move near the entrance again. It was nice to sweat a lot in the bedrock bath, but I went to the large communal bath in the back while wearing a soaked samue. The inside of the building was quite cold, probably because of ventilation for corona measures, and the body was cold to the core with a soaked samue. It would be nice to have a space where you can change clothes near the bedrock bath, but there is only a paid private bath. Although it is a large communal bath, the indoor bath does not seem to be a hot spring. There is a sauna, but there is no cold bath. There is a sleeping space, but there is a sign that says ”cleaning” throughout your stay, and hot water is never filled. Supper is reasonable. The sashimi was delicious. Rice too. Breakfast has coffee, but no juice or milk. The room is large. There is no cold water pot, so you have to secure some water at night. The most impressive thing was the bedrock bath.

Stayed at ”Kanrai Kurenai” on the 2nd floor. I was satisfied with the room, but there is no air conditioner in the washroom and toilet, so it will be hard on the body when the temperature is severe. In addition, deterioration of facilities in hall is outstanding. However, the power of a long-established inn to compensate for such dissatisfaction is in the hot springs and cuisine. The open-air bath of black hot water flowing directly from the source, which can only be experienced here, is a masterpiece, and it is worth the experience even if the soles and buttocks are black. I enjoyed it more than enough in a reserved state. Even with a cheap plan, the dinner was served in the room, and I was able to fully enjoy the authentic kaiseki cuisine, and the breakfast in the hall was delicious. In addition to the welcome drink, the after-bath beer and after-meal coffee service is nice. Thank you for picking up and dropping off at the last Yahiko Shrine / Tsubamesanjo.

On the first Friday of September, after visiting Yahiko Shrine, I stayed with my wife for one night. The appearance is a seasoned thing that smells of the Showa era. At the same time as arrival, the guidance staff appeared from the entrance. I was invited by the staff to check in at the front desk. The interior has been beautifully renovated. After listening to the explanation of meals, etc., I went to the guest room on the 3rd floor. The room, which is thought to have been originally a Japanese-style room, is a twin bed room with wooden flooring. It is a style where you take off your shoes at the entrance and spend your time barefoot. It looks like it has been refurbished, but it is the cheapest room among the twin rooms, so the texture is reasonable. The special thing is the hot springs. Both the indoor and outdoor baths have a faint sulfur scent and are so soft that you will want to stay in them forever. There is no water bath, but there is a compact sauna, and since it was a weekday, I was able to use it almost to myself. This sauna can also be used during the morning bath, so after working up a sweat, lying down on the bench next to the open-air bath and looking up at the clear morning sky, I felt that my body and mind were cleansed. For dinner, a course meal is served at the restaurant on the 2nd floor, and for breakfast, a buffet is served at the lobby lounge on the 1st floor. I was satisfied with both quality and quantity, and it was very delicious because it was devised to incorporate local ingredients and local cuisine. As expected, there is only rice, and the deliciousness of white rice is exceptional. There was a little trouble at dinner, but when I checked out the next morning, the proprietress gave me a polite apology, and I felt once again that the staff was well taken care of. It was a hot spring town in a mountain village with nothing around, so I was able to enjoy the way I was supposed to spend my time at the inn. Thank you very much for your help.

XXiaoxiaotangtuanThe size, facilities and quality of the room are very good, especially since it is surrounded by the sea on three sides, and most of them are sea view rooms. The windows are large and the lighting is excellent! It is an 8-minute walk from the Sado Pier, which is very convenient for going to Sado Island! The only drawback is that the hotel is relatively ”isolated”. Unlike the hotels near JR, there are all kinds of food and convenience stores as soon as you walk out; there are almost no restaurants around this hotel. You can walk about 1 km to the fish pier of Pia Bandai, or walk 1.2 km to the Niigata Daily News Agency and Bandai Bridge to find food. If you like quietness, you can definitely choose this place. There is a bus stop downstairs that goes directly to Niigata JR or the city center (but it's only a little more than 1 km on foot)
GGuest UserMy family and travelled to Niigata at the end of April 2023 and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Okura Niigata. Prior to the trip, I had reached out to them via email to inquire about coordinating a van + driver for us (6 of us) so that we could go visit some sake breweries and to make dinner reservations for us at a nearby restaurant. The concierge team was amazing and booked a large van (jumbo taxi) and driver for the day. they also ensured that the van could accommodate a folding wheelchair for one group member that needed it. The van and driver arrived on time and was quite reasonably priced. Great experience that was made possible by the hotel team! Upon return to the hotel, we realized we had left some items on the van - the hotel called the taxi company and coordinated the return of our items. Beyond these experiences, the hotel itself is a bit older but rooms are comfortable and fairly spacious for a hotel room in Japan. Location is great and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we had on this trip. If I should ever travel back to Niigata, I will most definitely be staying here. The hotel and team won my business by going above and beyond...even for Japan standards of customer service! Domo arigatogozaima****a!!!
MMC ShiIf I would comment on the hotel, I would say worth the cost and balance facilities in all aspects. Very presentable lobby compare to the price. Breakfast is good. Also got hot spring. 5 minutes working from the station. 7-11 downstairs and lot of small restaurant around. Front desk staff is good and no problem with English. Cheaper than other hotel I am considering. This is the hotel I would stay again.
HHuiruThe location is less than 5 minutes' walk from Niigata Station. It is located in a quiet alley, so it is very quiet. In addition, the breakfast is rich and balanced. In addition to rare fruits (tomatoes and strawberries), even the miso soup is full of vegetables. Excellent value for money, highly recommended.
The nearby Hakusan Shrine is a famous place of worship for marriage, and the Bandai Museum of Art building can be climbed up to see the distance.
XXiaotaihouThe single room is too small and larger boxes cannot be opened.
The twin room is pretty good and has a lot of space.
The hotel's breakfast was very good. I didn't try lunch or dinner, but I saw many Japanese company dinners held in the hotel's restaurant.
The location is very good, just next to Niigata Station. It is very convenient to take the Shinkansen and bus. There are various supermarkets and restaurants in Cocolo next to it.
GGuest UserIt is one of the few inns in Niigata City where you can park your bike, and you can park at a private bicycle parking lot with a roof (reservation required). It is close to Niigata Station and there are many izakaya around, so you can enjoy seafood and local sake from the Sea of Japan. The facility is convenient for large communal baths, restaurants, and convenience stores of 1F to enter with indoor-equipped work clothes. Breakfast buffet is a large number of items in Japanese, Western and Chinese, and you can taste Niigata's specialties, including bristle squid sashimi, from the morning. I was able to meet a good hotel in Ku 々.
GGuest UserWe stayed in a twin room after renovation. It is widely used and satisfactory. Breakfast was also enough for free, and there were menus along the theme, salad and fruit. The location is a little walk to the station and it is less 々 far to Mandai, so it may be playing with the service. It was thankful for the child to put breakfast in the box and eat it in the room. Thank you for your care.
GGuest UserThe hot springs were open for a long time and I was able to enjoy them enough. I was happy that the temperature was relatively high. The room was a rare outer corridor & open door, which was uncomfortable at first, but I got used to it. The room is very small and the layout is more like a nursing care facility than a hotel. The lighting was dazzling and my eyes were tired. I think it would have been nice if it could be dimmed or light bulb color.
GGuest UserStayed for 1 night watching soccer. It is a little far from Niigata Station, but within walking distance. The surrounding area is comfortable for shopping and playing in the downtown area. It is also close to the bar. The hotel itself is old, but it is perfect with a chic design. It is enough to sleep in a single room. The restroom is also an old-fashioned washlet. Breakfast is buffet and you can enjoy Niigata local food. It is a hotel that I want to use next time.
GGuest UserConvenient because it is really in front of the station. There was a convenience store on the first floor and there were several places to eat in the same building. There was a lot of places to eat because of the station. However, the lobby was a little difficult to understand on the 4 floor. The station was overlooked from the room and I could want the train to come and go, which is good for people who like railways.
