If I would comment on the hotel, I would say worth the cost and balance facilities in all aspects. Very presentable lobby compare to the price. Breakfast is good. Also got hot spring. 5 minutes working from the station. 7-11 downstairs and lot of small restaurant around. Front desk staff is good and no problem with English. Cheaper than other hotel I am considering. This is the hotel I would stay again.

The lights are turned off in the evening, so the night view and twilight are very beautiful and have a nice atmosphere. Recommended for couples.
There is an elevator that goes directly to your room.
The shop closes early! There is a bar-like place next to it, but the last order is at 19:30.
It seems like they could make the atmosphere better, but I recommend Baka-Uke.
The hotel shop has a limited number of items, so it is difficult to get food other than the restaurant. I wish there was a 24-hour convenience store.
The front desk staff are very polite and elegant, since it is JAL.
They provide children's amenities (slippers, toothbrush, towel)

You can watch YouTube, Netflix (login required), and Amazon Prime (login required) on the TV in the room.
There are ice and drink vending machines on each floor.

If you arrive late and check out the next day, you can't use the laundry service.
It was only about 7,000 yen for two people with a child, which was very much appreciated. It's cheaper than the hotels in Sado!

My family and travelled to Niigata at the end of April 2023 and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Okura Niigata. Prior to the trip, I had reached out to them via email to inquire about coordinating a van + driver for us (6 of us) so that we could go visit some sake breweries and to make dinner reservations for us at a nearby restaurant. The concierge team was amazing and booked a large van (jumbo taxi) and driver for the day. they also ensured that the van could accommodate a folding wheelchair for one group member that needed it. The van and driver arrived on time and was quite reasonably priced. Great experience that was made possible by the hotel team! Upon return to the hotel, we realized we had left some items on the van - the hotel called the taxi company and coordinated the return of our items. Beyond these experiences, the hotel itself is a bit older but rooms are comfortable and fairly spacious for a hotel room in Japan. Location is great and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we had on this trip. If I should ever travel back to Niigata, I will most definitely be staying here. The hotel and team won my business by going above and beyond...even for Japan standards of customer service! Domo arigatogozaima****a!!!

Location about 2 minutes walk from Mandai Guchi, Niigata Station. There is a convenience store on the 1 floor. I think it is a hotel with a history, but it seems to have been completely renovated recently, and it is picca to the corner 々. Very comfortable. There is a plane parking lot next to the three-dimensional parking lot, and two wheels are put into the picture. It is half underground, so it sleeps. The room is a railway view. This is a pleasure for the vehicle-based Tetsu.Niigata Station is a transitional period in which the conventional platform is divided into ground and elevated, so it seems to be an interesting scenery. There is a large bath though it is not taken. I took a morning bath, but there were few people and comfortable. Breakfast is suspension of buffet form and is provided in Bento form. It is 1300 yen later, but it seems to be quite suitable for the price. If it is poor, it is better than the buffet? It was balanced and healthy, and the material and taste were not bad. Close to downtown and not expensive. Very recommended.

We stayed in a twin room after renovation. It is widely used and satisfactory. Breakfast was also enough for free, and there were menus along the theme, salad and fruit. The location is a little walk to the station and it is less 々 far to Mandai, so it may be playing with the service. It was thankful for the child to put breakfast in the box and eat it in the room. Since it is a sunroute brand, there is a sense of security as an inn for traveling alone. However, among the many sunroutes, the facility is quite old. The key is made of old-fashioned metal and is not automatic locking. The air conditioning is also controlled as a whole and there is no room. The bathtub is also old. It is about a 5-minute walk from Mandaiguchi, Niigata Station, and there is a convenience store right in front of you. Amenity is now a type that picks up by yourself at the front desk. I didn't use the buffet because I stayed without meals this time.

The hot springs were open for a long time and I was able to enjoy them enough. I was happy that the temperature was relatively high. The room was a rare outer corridor ＆ open door, which was uncomfortable at first, but I got used to it. The room is very small and the layout is more like a nursing care facility than a hotel. The lighting was dazzling and my eyes were tired. I think it would have been nice if it could be dimmed or light bulb color.

We stayed two nights at the JR East Hotel Mets at the Niigata station after arriving from Tokyo by Shinkansen. I think we exited to the western concourse and signs to hotel were easy enough to follow. The walkway enters level 3 of the hotel. Very conveniently, right next to a 7-Eleven. Also super convenient is the sake museum. Definitely must visit. Check-in was efficient and we were given rooms on the top floor (level 9). A rather basic room that has everything except for an in-room safe. No coffee (nor bottled water) was provided with the kettle but only tea. Not a problem as free coffee can be made in the waiting area next to the reception. Also in the reception area is where more bathroom amenities are provided. Only toothbrushes are in the room. The bath area in the room is large with a wash area and a stool like at the onsen along with a bathtub. That’s where a visit to the amenities area in reception comes in handy. Wifi was speedy enough for our needs. The convenient location was great for us as we arrived in the rain. There is plenty of choices for food and even shopping. Do explore around. We did buy day passes for the Niigata City Loop Bus (JPY500 per adult). Check-out was as efficient as check-in. While there wasn’t much of a view, the hotel was just right for us. Definitely worth considering

I came to watch the match in Albirex Niigata. The room and breakfast were satisfactory. The guide was also polite and helpful. However, the explanation of the parking situation of private cars to the match venue was inaccurate, and I was a little troubled locally. Other than that, I am satisfied.

MMangoNear the train station, so it is very convenient. However, my room happened to be facing the izakaya opposite, so there were loud voices and laughter late into the night. Soundproofing is also not the best. Other than that, everything else is good! Strong wifi connection and modern room.

The breakfast is excellent and specialties are provided based on local characteristics. Most of the guests staying in the hotel are on business trips. There are bookstores and convenience stores downstairs, and Cocolo and Big Camera are nearby the hotel. There is also a sporting goods store.

GGuest UserIt's on the opposite side of Bandaiguchi, so it's quiet. I had heard about the directions after getting off the Shinkansen in advance, so it was easy to understand. I was told to go down to the 3rd floor or the ground by stairs, but there was an elevator, and when I tried to get on it, I saw the hotel sign. There was a cold towel in front of the front desk, which was appreciated. And there are T-bags such as bath salts, coffee, and tea, which I used in the room. About room, it is very common. The air conditioning was weak, so people who are sensitive to heat may complain. The ceramic plate bath warmed my body and felt very good. I was sweating profusely and had a shower, but I immediately returned to the bath in my room, sweating away and feeling refreshed. Best of all, the breakfast is wonderful. With this, 800 yen is cheap. Full of homemade flavor. It was a time when vegetables were expensive, so I was impressed by salads and boiled dishes such as broccoli that were not frozen. First of all, we quench our thirst with tomato juice made with a mixer. As expected of rice. At this hotel, there is a contracted farmer, and the photo of that person is posted, so I was able to enjoy Koshihikari with peace of mind.

我我叫猪大白A very cost-effective hotel, has a history of 147 years, is the earliest Western-style hotel in Niigata, and still maintains a high level today. Stayed during the Changgang Fireworks Conference, the price is higher than usual, but quality service, convenient transportation and delicious meals still make people feel good value for money. It takes 4 stops to take the bus to Niigata Station. It takes only a few minutes to walk to the bus station. You can also walk from the underground street with a very historical feeling. It is very cool in summer. It is 1000 yen to take a taxi to the train station. There are many temples and shrines around the hotel, as well as the old sites of the consulates in the countries of the year, 8 minutes walk from the Niigata Art Museum. From the hotel room you can see the Sea of Japan directly and walk to the beach for a quarter of an hour. Going out is the famous Huajie in Niigata, restaurants, pubs and clubs are all around. The hotel has a very rich breakfast, curry rice, omelet and yogurt are very good. The Marco Polo Restaurant and the Sapporo Restaurant are great, and there is a famous Chinese restaurant. The room bath is pola, the bath salt is DHC. Very characteristic is the quilt cover, is made with Japanese and paper fiber, very comfortable.

GGuest UserStayed for １ night watching soccer. It is a little far from Niigata Station, but within walking distance. The surrounding area is comfortable for shopping and playing in the downtown area. It is also close to the bar. The hotel itself is old, but it is perfect with a chic design. It is enough to sleep in a single room. The restroom is also an old-fashioned washlet. Breakfast is buffet and you can enjoy Niigata local food. It is a hotel that I want to use next time.

GGuest UserConvenient because it is really in front of the station. There was a convenience store on the first floor and there were several places to eat in the same building. There was a lot of places to eat because of the station. However, the lobby was a little difficult to understand on the 4 floor. The station was overlooked from the room and I could want the train to come and go, which is good for people who like railways.

The parking lot was a parking space that surrounds the site, but I couldn't park it, so I was guided to a contract parking lot a little far away. There is no particular problem.
The room is also a simple style, but the unit bus is quite narrow. It was a little painful for me who was hard ^^;
Amenity is the minimum required, and there is a vending machine on the 1st and 3rd floors, and a coin laundry on the 3rd floor. There are no alcohols such as beer, so you should buy it in advance.
