館内案内や料理の丁寧な説明。結婚記念日だったが、サプライズで祝って頂くなど、素晴らしかった。帰り際の過去の旅館の話など、こちらの興味があることなど丁寧に説明して頂き、寛ぎの場所として定番としたい。

とっても広々した旅館でした。何よりスタッフの方々の接客が良くてとても快適に過ごせました。ちょうど前日が大雪だったため、雪降り積もった日本庭園はとても風雅。客室数も少ない静かなお宿ですが、部屋はかなり広々してて、ほんと快適でした。 お料理もとても美味しくいただけました。おまけにシャンパンのボトルが13,000～14,000円でとても良心的でした（東京のホテルだと２倍以上取りますよね）。何より地元の酒屋さん（新潟 長谷川屋）が酒造のジンが絶品なのでぜひご賞味あれ。長谷川屋さんもタクシーで10分程度です。 温泉は硫黄の香りがやや強いので、ここは好き嫌いが分かれるかもしれませんが、泉質は良いのでポカポカで肌もすべすべになりました。あと、創業30年以上のためリノベーションしているものの、一部に古さを感じますね。それがいい味わいでもありますけれども。 とっても素敵な旅館で、思わず心付けもお渡ししました。またぜひ訪れたいなと思いました。

家族で離れに泊まりました。 2階建ての建物で、広く、楽しくゆっくりと過ごせます。 食事もお酒も美味しく、新潟市にこんな素晴らしい旅館があるとは思いませんでした。 硫黄の温泉も気持ち良いです。離れでは、お庭もあり夏ならお庭でビールを飲んでくつろぐこともできます。 非日常を楽しめる数少ない旅館です。

今年も月2回のペースで温泉宿巡り。年の締めは岩室温泉ゆめやへ。純和風宿ではありますが、家族連れや意外と若いお客様もいる様子。露天風呂は岩室温泉特徴の黒い成分が付着する事もないさらりとしたお湯。部屋は広々とした造りで、食事も熱い物は熱くサーブされ、説明も丁寧に。冬の新潟と言えばやはりのどぐろを食して幸せ一杯になります。朝食にはご縁おむすびも供されドライブ途中の軽食にうってつけでした。山あいの宿とはいえ、新潟市内でもあり、ロビーから見る庭園の造形美はあるものの、近隣の建物も視界に入り、日常の中の贅沢と言う感じでしょうか。
