Hotels near JR Echigo-Ishiyama Station, Niigata

A clean and nice hotel. The parking lot was a parking space that surrounds the site, but I couldn't park it, so I was guided to a contract parking lot a little far away. It was a little painful for me who was hard ^^; Amenity is the minimum required, and there is a vending machine on the 1st and 3rd floors, and a coin laundry on the 3rd floor. There are no alcohols such as beer, so you should buy it in advance.

We stayed in a twin room after renovation. It is widely used and satisfactory. Breakfast was also enough for free, and there were menus along the theme, salad and fruit. The location is a little walk to the station and it is less 々 far to Mandai, so it may be playing with the service. It was thankful for the child to put breakfast in the box and eat it in the room. Stayed for １ night watching soccer. It is a little far from Niigata Station, but within walking distance. The surrounding area is comfortable for shopping and playing in the downtown area. It is also close to the bar. The hotel itself is old, but it is perfect with a chic design. It is enough to sleep in a single room. The restroom is also an old-fashioned washlet. Breakfast is buffet and you can enjoy Niigata local food. It is a hotel that I want to use next time.

From Niigata Port, you can go through Toki Messe and go directly to the hotel! Very convenient to use before and after your trip to Sado! The night view from the free Baka-Uke Observatory is beautiful! The lights are turned off in the evening, so the night view and twilight are very beautiful and have a nice atmosphere. Recommended for couples. There is an elevator that goes directly to your room. The shop closes early! There is a bar-like place next to it, but the last order is at 19:30. It seems like they could make the atmosphere better, but I recommend Baka-Uke. The hotel shop has a limited number of items, so it is difficult to get food other than the restaurant. I wish there was a 24-hour convenience store. The front desk staff are very polite and elegant, since it is JAL. It would have been great if there was a laundry room. If you arrive late and check out the next day, you can't use the laundry service. It was only about 7,000 yen for two people with a child, which was very much appreciated. It's cheaper than the hotels in Sado!

My family and travelled to Niigata at the end of April 2023 and had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Okura Niigata. Prior to the trip, I had reached out to them via email to inquire about coordinating a van + driver for us (6 of us) so that we could go visit some sake breweries and to make dinner reservations for us at a nearby restaurant. The concierge team was amazing and booked a large van (jumbo taxi) and driver for the day. they also ensured that the van could accommodate a folding wheelchair for one group member that needed it. The van and driver arrived on time and was quite reasonably priced. Great experience that was made possible by the hotel team! Upon return to the hotel, we realized we had left some items on the van - the hotel called the taxi company and coordinated the return of our items. Beyond these experiences, the hotel itself is a bit older but rooms are comfortable and fairly spacious for a hotel room in Japan. Location is great and the breakfast buffet was one of the better ones we had on this trip. If I should ever travel back to Niigata, I will most definitely be staying here. The hotel and team won my business by going above and beyond...even for Japan standards of customer service! Domo arigatogozaima****a!!!

I booked a twin on weekends. I felt the old feeling of a hotel from ancient times, but I think the room itself is cleaned well. Just the old carpet stains were outstanding. This is a revisit of Ku 々. This bedrock bath is my first experience. It's near the entrance, but first wash your body in the large communal bath in the back of the inn. Breakfast has coffee, but no juice or milk. The room is large. There is no cold water pot, so you have to secure some water at night. The most impressive thing was the bedrock bath.
