The hotel is located on top of the hill, is not very convenient to get there. The shuttle bus from Nikko station is fully booked even we tried to book 1 day in advance as recommended on their website which only written in Japanese. There is no shuttle provided to pick up from the hotel bus stop. With luggage it’s definitely more than 7min up hill walk. The room we book comes with an open air bath, but was informed that the open air bath in room cannot be use during winter due to frozen pipe condition. The food is mediocre, nothing special.

The bus stop is at the intersection, and it is a 6-minute walk uphill from the hotel. The semi-open-air bath in the room is just a bathtub. There is no hot spring, but you can take a bath or soak your feet. However, because it is directly facing the woods, you need to prevent mosquitoes and fallen leaves, but you didn't see any large animals. Every day, the waiter will put the yukata, toiletries, coffee and tea bags, etc. in the entrance. You need to put the items you want to change and the garbage in the entrance for them to take away. They will not enter the room. The food is fresh, but the set meal is not too big, and it may not be enough for men.

There are basically no service staff. There was a problem with the WiFi in one room and we couldn't find a waiter to solve it. We finally found a waiter to help check it and then left. The network was still broken. There was a friend who was very good at Japanese in my group, and there was no problem with daily communication. The dinner waitress told us that the drinks were included in the meal. We confirmed it several times and she said it was included. In the end, the wine we ordered was still charged more than 10,000 yen. Fortunately, we didn't drink too much. We asked to confront the service staff and they said they couldn't find anyone. It was really strange.

I was traveling with my parents and was attracted by the eye-catching headline of "Open-air Private Bath". I specially arranged to visit Nikko Chuzenji Temple and decided on this hotel without hesitation. When I checked in at the front desk, I was told that the private hot spring bath cannot be used in December due to water pipe freezing. I felt that Ctrip had not communicated well with the hotel and immediately questioned the false advertising. It is understandable that the use is suspended due to seasonal reasons, but at least it must be stated on the website (guests can choose Selfless soup room). Finally, I waited for nearly 20 minutes and repeatedly confirmed the promotion on the Chinese website before telling me that it could be used again. I don't know what the reason is?

I like the hotel very much. The price/performance ratio is very high. Although the hardware is not very new, the service and atmosphere are really considerate. There are drinks in the lobby, mulled wine and coffee, and a big stove. Come in and sit in the snow. It's so warm and feels like home. ! There is a way to get in from the main road, but there is a shuttle bus, and the uncles and sisters who drive are very nice. One day after hiking, I got off the bus and was thinking that there was still 500 meters of uphill to go back to the hotel when I saw a car next to me coming to pick us up. Oh, I was so moved instantly! It turns out that the bus goes back and forth and waits at the station. Remember that stop is 33A. Dinner is different every day. We stayed for three days, so it was quite satisfactory! Bathing in the hot spring is very good, I especially like the open-air one. There are woods outside. By the way, there are monkeys in the woods, a group of them, they live in harmony! My friend said that he must ask me to mention that there are little baskets to store clothes and other things when bathing. This is very thoughtful.

The room is clean and tidy, very quiet, the hot spring is also very clean, breakfast and dinner are also Japanese style, very good

The hotel rooms are quite large, the facilities are good, the dinner portions are a bit smaller, and the price/performance ratio is still a good choice.

It is not easy to push up the mountain if you have large luggage. The hotel's welcome drink is good, including soft drinks and beer, champagne. The room is small, the Japanese-style sheets and quilts are a bit thin, and it will be cold at night. The hot spring is mixed with a lot of floating matter in it. I don’t know if it’s the keng or the substance of the hot spring itself. The smell of sulfur is very strong. After taking a bath, there is still a sulfur smell. It should be a very authentic hot spring. The open-air hot spring has no small scenery and a lot of weeds. Is there any weeds to soak in? The set meals for dinner and breakfast are the worst among the two meals I have stayed at in so many years. I didn't finish it because it was so bad. There were two ham sausages in the breakfast. I have never seen such a perfunctory set meal. In short, this hotel is in a state of decline. Not recommended at all

The overall hotel was great, especially the location overlooking the lake, and the open-air bath was very nice. But dinner was below expectations. Even though the cost was not that cheap, the meal was quite unsatisfactory.

Anyway, just use the facilities by yourself and no one will care about you, which is pretty good.

The temperature control of the hot springs was not good, and my morning bath was lukewarm and my body was not warmed up. The open-air bath in the guest room is not a hot spring. There is no characteristic in the content of the meal.
