Short walk from bus stop or 30 min walk from the Nikko train station. Directly opposite the Nikko Toshogu Shrine and 5min walk to the Shinkyo Bridge. Our room has a private bath that overlooked the Daiya River. Dinner and breakfast serve at level 1. Friendly staff and service.

Location was great, right on the main road. Easy to catch the bus to the falls and lake. Short taxi ride from the Tobu-Nikko station or 15 to 20 minute walk. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was very spacious and comfortable.

If you want to experience both Toshogu Shrine and hot springs, this is a great location. The hotel staff were cheerful and tried their best to serve the many foreign guests. The view from the window was nice, but I think it would be even more comfortable if they kept the outdoor unit clean.

Typical ryokan with old-world charm. Cuisine of very good quality, tasty, subtle and delicate. Comfortable onsen with terrace. Great location along the main road. Very calm. With a little luck you'll have sardines or mackerel for breakfast!

We stayed one night in this ryokan which is a 30-minute walk from Nikko station and a few minutes from the sanctuary. Positive points: - very well located for visiting all the tourist places in the city of Nikko - traditional inn with traditional dinner and breakfast in private rooms: very good meals! - comfortable futon - 2 onsen baths on the top floor, one inside and one on the smaller balcony - welcoming and friendly staff Negative points: - slightly shabby ryokan which quickly needs some work: signs of wear here and there , cobwebs… Conclusion: - despite lots of qualities and potential, the small imperfections unfortunately spoil the overall feeling of the stay.

I received a shuttle from JR Nikko Station and was able to arrive safely at the hotel. The accommodation was clean and comfortable, and the baths, both indoors and outdoors, were warm and warm. As for the food, my wife requested low-sodium meals, so they accommodated my request, but I was a little disappointed that I didn't know which dishes were low-sodium. Other than that, it's only a few minutes walk from Toshogu Shrine and Futarasan Shrine, so I think it's a very convenient inn.

The futon was laid out in a state that looked exactly like a picture of a ``senbei futon''. When I woke up in the morning, my back felt a little uncomfortable. It was a standard room in terms of money, but I feel like I lost money in terms of cost performance. However, it's close to Toshogu Shrine, so it's just that. After that, I was worried about the smell, probably because the toilet was old.

Two people visited on the weekend. I was able to spend a relaxing time in a meaningful way, and the food was so voluminous that I thought I wouldn't be able to finish it all. Tochigi beef shabu-shabu is exquisite! In addition to the bath in the room, we also had the large communal bath on the rooftop almost to ourselves due to the coronavirus pandemic. All the staff are very kind and I am very satisfied with everything including the price.

This ryokan is located about a 10-minute walk from Nikko Toshogu Shrine. I only had breakfast. Reserve a room with an open-air bath. The room itself was very spacious and clean, but had a homey feel. It doesn't really feel like a luxury inn. It might be a good place to spend time with a family with children. The inn itself has various words such as good luck written on the inside, giving it a bit of a cluttered and cheap feel. I thought it was a bit of a waste even though it was within walking distance of the World Heritage Site. In addition to the indoor bath, there is also a large bath and an open-air bath, so I was able to relax. For breakfast, you can choose from 4 types of dried fish. I chose ebodai and saury. The content is neither particularly good nor bad. I get the impression that mentaiko is often served with rice such as natto, pickles, pickled plums, and seaweed.
