It was a visit to the open-air bath with a room, and it was a way to use it outside the room except for the meal. The members were young and cold with rain. If it is not cold outside, it is information that is not necessary. The shower and bathtub are completely outside. Accumulate hot water by yourself in a wooden bathtub. There is a pipe with a faucet that comes out of the source of 42 degrees as it is, and a silver faucet that comes out of the source heated to 60 degrees. The heating faucet is expected, but because of the tank type, if it exceeds a certain amount, hot water will not come out. It seems that it is safe to remove the peak time zone. Check in at 15 o'clock and take a bath immediately. It is difficult to warm the low temperature from later, so the heating faucet is twisted with the source pipe, and it is a little hot while adjusting. (If you don't want to adjust it, you can store it with a pipe and then use a heating faucet.) When the bath is taken, you will use the shower immediately. It's cold on a cold day, so it's cold on a cold mountain, so it's still cold when the temperature is high. The wooden bathtub is always outside, so it's cold. When you take the first bath, you feel cold little by little when you put your butt and back on. Reserve the bath → After use, do not drain the remaining hot water → Just before the second cup is stored, and do the bath → Repeat If you use the remaining hot water (water) to keep the wooden bathtub warm, after the second time, The coldness of the tree is eliminated. The morning and evening Viking is good to go at the same time as the start. The reason will be described later. I remember the time, but I think it was the last time to enter at 18:00 〜 19:30, 7:30 〜 9:00. It is an impression that there is a menu without shortage in compact. You can choose all at the same time as the start. Even if the replenishment is not caught up and cut, please replenish it immediately. However, some of them are determined, such as fresh fish. Some of them are very popular and delicious, and they may not be available on the day. I want to choose rice color 々! Let's go at the same time as the start. There is no DVD player in the room, so if you watch DVD, please use Hotel Euro City. There is a TV. The HDMI hole for the fire TV stick was easy to clean because of the dust and poor contact. If you don't want to do it yourself, you should ask for the cleaning behind the TV in advance. Our room was devised to spend easily in one room. The dressing room and bathroom area can be partitioned with curtains. For sleeping, there was a cloth blind that could be opened and closed on the entrance door side from the bed. There is also a return transfer. I think it was 9:00, 9:30 and 10:00. We will guide you at check-in, but please check every time because I think it depends on the time and the number of all guests. The staff's response is great. I will use it again.

This comfortable, rustic hostel of the family type has a lot to offer and has a few disadvantages: firstly, there are two beautiful, semi-private baths or ours; you can just set the label on and enjoy with your partner; There is a large dining area with free coffee and tea, plus a microwave, hot water and free-filtration water in the lounge and a combi freezer / refrigerator for guests use, free of charge. The room was pleasant and we had a small but nice 'capsule' bathroom in our room that was fire-soilly clean. It is also clearly an old building and the decor is dated, but I found it added to the charm. Then the room was in a quiet neighborhood and you could hear the river that was delicious. The guests were friendly and helpful too. Now the disadvantage: the cherosin cakes used in both the lounge and our room just smoked horrible. I was grown up with cherosin lights as a child and my husband too, so it's not as if we know nothing about it. We were able to open the windows in our room to get out of the smell, but it's November and it's frozen, So we just jumped under the thick deck beds. My recommendation: go to enjoy all the pleasant places to offer in the summer. T**** disadvantage is that the walls are thin with little sound isolation - we could hear the conversation of the couple next to. If you are a slight sleeper, this may disturb you.

Far removed from all the hustle and bustle from the city yet its only 2 hours away. Nikko, just 16.7 miles north of Ustunomiya the capital city of Tochigi Prefecture, is a home to many world heritage site such as legendary Toshogu Shrine. This property is one of a kind and unique. Located 15 minutes drive from Tobu Nikko Station and next to Daiwa River this property has unique blend of tranquility and authentic ryokan experience. The room size is pretty average with the entrance area with a bathroom adjacent to it leading to the living room which can be separated from the entrance area by a fusuma sliding door. The view of Daiwa River and sound of water flowing down the river is like nothing you have experienced before. They also have a first come based private onsen. The view you get from this semi opened air bath combined with relaxing onsen washes away your daily stresses down the drain. Due to the serenity and tranquility, location is not the most ideal. Closest convenience store along with other food option (FYI: most restaurants and diners closes before 6PM) is close to 10 minutes walk via Kokudo 120 leading up to Honcho. However, whether it’s weekend getaways for all Tokyo residents or you’re here for vacation Annex Turtle offers you the upmost relaxation for a reasonable cost.

They picked us up from train station. Held our bags while we enjoyed the nikko temples and the abyss. Came back and soaked in the onsen until dinner (wearing our yukata and slippers) which was delicious and a lot of fun (we made our own yuba and grilled our wagyu beef). This was our first night sleeping on futons on tatami mats and next time I’d double up the mat. We had no shower in our room but others had one — we showered in the onsen area. In the morning, back downstairs in our yukata for a beautiful extensive Japanese breakfast. I’d have loved to learn what we were eating! Patient and quiet service. Then they brought us to the train station to continue on. Highly recommend.

It's about 10 minutes walk from the station. The famous suspension bridge is close, it is very beautiful, the facilities are new, and I thought that the semi-open-air bath was good! I was glad to wash it because I had a washing machine! I thought it would be easy to party because there was a rice cooker and a barbecue stove .

The location of this hotel is very good, near the station, really very close, platform 28 is at the door of the hotel, the 26th station is about five minutes walk, and then the balcony can directly see Lake Zhongzen Temple, the hot springs are quite satisfactory, Breakfast is a rich buffet whether it is a buffet or a single meal. If there are few people in the hotel, it will be a single meal. The pork chops for dinner are really tender. Although the dishes are few, they are very delicate. The hotel staff are very enthusiastic and will recommend Attractions, it just snowed on the first night! Very happy.

Anyway, the transportation is convenient and you can walk anywhere. The nearest station is shimoima City, but I dared to get off at kamiima City. Check in around Ninomiya Sontoku Museum, kakii no Matsuzuki, Nikko Honjin, Ninomiya Sontoku Jinja shrine. I looked good from the room at the Nikko Kaido road and the jiheishi Kaido road, and went to the chobu Jizo Do hall at the intersection point. The cedar trees are too splendid, so I took a little walk on both roads. The hotel faces the intersection and there is a Family Mart on the other side. Breakfast is very healthy Japanese food and there are many side dishes and you can't eat. The number of shrubs was also surprised by other guests.

If you choose to take a bus from the station to the hotel, brace yourselves for a rather long walk from the bus drop off point to the monorail entrance along a very rough gravel road (trust me, it gets worse if it’s wet and cold and you’re dragging a 15kg luggage). The walk was far from what I’d expect when staying in such a luxury resort. If I could make any suggestion i think the hotel should perhaps pave the gravel road to make it more walk-friendly? Or negotiate with the bus company so that the stop is right outside the monorail entrance and not at the end of a muddy gravel road. But until any of that is made possible I’d highly recommend taking a taxi from station if you don’t have a car. The ‘Monorail’ (which was more like a glorified cable car) was an interesting feature on arrival. I don’t know if it was build due to geographical restriction (that prevented actual roads built right up to the hotel?) or as some sort of gimmick but sorry to say it’s really not efficient during peak hours and after the first ride it really just felt like an elevator that takes forever to arrive. Once we finally arrived the place itself was gorgeous throughout. From the decor to the atmosphere it’s just a relaxing vibe. It’s a place for getaways and the hotel made sure of that with all the attention to details (such as the meal timings, the seating arrangements etc) to make sure at no point you feel crowded or overwhelmed. The service was great and the staff know limited but adequate English. The Onsen was quite a long walk from our room in freezing cold weather, the foyer was fancy with a relaxation area and free drinks, however the actual onset felt slightly on the basic side to me with just one indoor and one outdoor (not a super fancy type) bath but since there weren’t many guests it wasn’t crowded and I was happy. Again the entire onsen area was very neat and clean. Our room was lovely and clean with a nice balcony. Food was lovely as well. Overall once you get past the gravel road and reach the hotel there’s really not much else to fault and I did enjoy my stay very much.

* 5 star service from Hitomi and make sure to upgrade to all you can eat dinner/breakfast dining option. Booked this hotel for a stay in Mid November and after getting off of train we caught the bus here a little after sundown. The autumn leaves are really outstanding-almost every picture is a gorgeous post card. Bus driver asked where we are headed to and told him ”Kinugawa Onsen Hotel” . Took around 10 min to arrive and we were dropped off in front of hotel parking lot. Waited in a short line to check in and front desk service referred us to ”HITOMI” her name on tag in hiragana characters. She whipped up 2 page map with room information, pertaining elevator diagram and hotel keys. Make sure to pay careful instructions about onsen and buffet times- free soft serve ice cream and snacks until 6pm in lobby/ free drinks, coffee, tea until 10pm. FYI- best soft serve in Japan Hokkaido milk...yummy!!! 5 golden stars to HITOMI- top notch and friendly service. She urged us to be aware of emergency exits on our floor. While you are dining they will bring out futons so when you return- soft futons are waiting for you! The room is a traditional tatami mat with table and cushions. It is welcoming with snacks, complementary bottled water and a hot tea station. Room safe in closet also included were yukata robes for him and her. Ugh, wonderful amenities, tooth brush, a few toiletries -worry free stay. After visiting the onsen - kind of stressful for a foreigner like me. Not used to being naked with other ladies but in reality I was invisible- no shame at all. We headed down to the all you can eat dinner. We had 90 min-more than enough time to eat from 7:30 to 9pm. The spread was adequate with dishes from Japan and a few we recognized. Tempura made to order, musubi bar, gelato station, bakery section, fruit bar, local dishes and drink machine both hot or cold more-more- more- too much to mention. Looked at all the diners like ravenous sharks. Lots of help staff taking away empty plates, chefs assistants re-filling the empty vessels with more foods. Orderly chaos in front of me and loving every succulent moment. I felt like Templeton in the Charlot's Web movie. Burp* UGH, rubbing my full belly and going for seconds and thirds. Repeating ” ah, ill have a year to diet” until we come back again. Super glad we upgraded to the all you can at buffet. Coming again in the morning-they open at 7am for breakfast. It ended up being a repeat but with Japanese breakfast foods too. We did an early checkout at 8am and paid our $2 onsen tax. They were nice enough to let us stay in the room until 10am if we promised to bring back both keys at that time- no issues there. First bus back to the train station arrives a little after 10 am and Hitomi came out to ask us to wait in lobby. Lobby had comfy seats and was warmer than outside. Hitomi soooo kind of her she told us the bus was here- wished her every success in life! Please -if you get a chance to
