Across from the railway station, nice room, everything worked inside. Don't expect 5 star cleanliness for this price, but it was good enough for me. Loved playing with the smart xiaodu device. Had it open and close the curtains, the lights and the tv. Kids would have loved it.

I recently stayed at a hotel in Ningbo, China, which had a super location close to Ningbo Railway Station. The hotel's proximity to the station made it convenient for transportation. However, there were a few aspects of my stay that could have been better.
The location of the hotel was indeed excellent, with easy access to the railway station. This made it convenient for exploring the city and accessing transportation options . The hotel's proximity to shopping streets and attractions added to its appeal.
Regarding the food, I would described as ”okay” . It seems that there were various dining options available, but the experience may have varied depending on the specific choices made.
One aspect that could be improved is the English proficiency of the reception staff. According to the search results, the staff's ability to communicate in basic English was limited . This could pose a challenge for non-Chinese guests who require assistance or have specific inquiries.
During my two-night stay, I also noticed a strong smell of cigarettes in the room. This could be a concern for those who are sensitive to smoke or prefer smoke-free environments.
Overall, the hotel's super location near Ningbo Railway Station was a major advantage. However, it is important to note the potential language barrier with the reception staff and the presence of a cigarette smell. These factors may be worth considering when choosing accommodations in Ningbo

The magician like design was amazing and it is a magical place for selfie ! It is worth to come with friends and share a fantastic moment together. It took me around 1 hour to explore different areas and took photos. The room was European style and spacious, you can enjoy the beautiful scene nearby. The design of your room door is a book shelf that you need to find which book you tab the key card to open the door. No worries the beautiful staff will teach you. Compliments to the nice female staff who help me to store the suitcases after check out.

It is especially recommended to stay at this hotel in Ningbo city. It is almost 3 kilometers away from Laowaitan. Very close. Taking a taxi is also convenient. The guy at the front desk was warm, thoughtful and considerate. Once you arrive on the day, help navigate nearby parking lots. Then a series of help to check in. Because there is no breakfast, it is recommended to apply for membership, and membership activities are discounted. Parking fees are waived and breakfast is included. There are other benefits. Still a good deal. Coffee was also given as a gift. Haha, I felt very energetic all night after drinking it. The room is tidy and hygienic. All in all a very good experience. Recommended for friends who come to Ningbo city to stay.

A+++! It was a wonderful stay at this hotel we were only in Ningbo for two nights but its location made it easier for us to get around quickly without wasting too much time. What really stood out with the service. The staff was always very helpful to answer question and assist us when we needed. We had issues understanding our taxi driver and they immediately stepped in to talk with the taxi driver on our behalf. Will surely stay here again.

Great hotel. I visit Ningbo very often. I stayed at this hotel several times. I try to book a room with a balcony. Cleaning every day, very friendly staff, there is breakfast, there is laundry and a small gym. The hotel is located in the very center of the city, very close to the train station. Not far from the hotel there is a central square where various shops and restaurants are located. Very close to the historical quarter in the colonial style. I recommend this hotel to everyone.

SScarletTheWandererNew Century Resort Jiulong Lake exceeded all my expectations and provided a truly enjoyable stay. The staff was incredibly friendly, going out of their way to be helpful and offering valuable tips on things to do in the area. 包智慧 was especially kind and helpful! The room I stayed in had a beautiful view of the water, giving it a tropical vibe. The breakfast buffet had a wide selection of delicious options, and the resort was very family-friendly.
While it was a shame that the outdoor pool was only open in July and August, the indoor pool and hot tub were still great. The resort's proximity to the Scenic Area allowed for a day of exploration, with hiking trails leading to waterfalls and a lovely temple. The resort was surrounded by lush trees, creating a serene atmosphere that I highly recommend.
The option to rent bikes and participate in various activities added to the enjoyment of the stay. I particularly appreciated the pleasant bonfire evenings with music, which provided a nice touch without being too loud. Overall, I highly recommend New Century Resort Jiulong Lake as a place to relax and unwind. It's conveniently located just a 45-minute taxi ride from the Ningbo train station.

If it doesn't rain, it will be more effective. The housekeeper Yujie's service is also very meticulous and any questions are answered in a timely manner.

GGuest UserOn the day of our check-in, the hotel called in advance to confirm the approximate arrival time. They turned on the air conditioner in the room in advance, put out welcome fruits and welcome meals. The service attitude was very good, and there were desserts in the evening.
I booked a twin-bed sea view room with a balcony. The view from the balcony is very good. The room is relatively quiet and the equipment is very complete! We can see the sea view, but it's a pity that it's a bit cloudy. We will stay here next time we come!

The scenery of the hotel is very good, but the sound of cars is relatively noisy in the good places, but the places behind are much quieter. The location of the hotel is very advantageous, and there is a parking lot. There is a Japanese restaurant upstairs. The ingredients used are very fresh. Go to the Old Bund at night, and there is also the Catholic church. It is really beautiful. The breakfast of the hotel is considered to be better for this price. There is also a better fully automatic coffee machine. But I don’t know why, your beans are really hard to drink. It feels too bitter. I hope the hotel can improve this. Otherwise, it is not worthy of this machine. The service of the lady at the front desk is very good. She answers all questions. I hope this price can be maintained continuously. The mattress is very soft. The support is also good. The shower in the toilet has a top spray. It is much more comfortable than the top spray of Hanting Youjia.

You can watch the sunrise on the balcony in the morning. The beach is at the door of the hotel. It is very pleasant to go to the waves and sand after dinner in the evening! The hotel staff is very enthusiastic, especially Grace. She called to take the initiative to care before she set off. When I arrived at the lobby, I recognized her waiting. She also helped to coordinate the room change and gave recommendations for food, accommodation and travel. Other staff were also polite. The dishes in the hotel's Chinese restaurant taste good, the ingredients are fresh, and the taste is also good. The hotel has rich activities, a variety of entertainment facilities, and many options. There are just fewer table tennis and billiard tables. There are often queues and waiting. There is a chance to improve it appropriately. The location of the hotel is also good. There are attractions and food within half an hour of self-driving. Especially the green eyes of the Wizard of Oz in Dongdan Village, the rafting and 9D movies in Lingyan Volcano Scenic Area, the fat sister-in-law food in Shipu Ancient Town, and the Dongmen Island Scenic Area are all very attractive and very suitable for self-driving tours! the cocktails we're awful each time we tried a new one...the ingredients were listed but not all present in the drink
the check in and checkout - first and last impressions need to be improved. check in we didn't receive a friendly smile to guide us to the counter, check out was a long queue
during the busy time, more shuttle cars are required, we had several 20-30minutes wait times and guests act a bit silly and selfish, pushing to get on the shuttle bus even when families with small children where waiting longer. it was 40degrees Celsius so walking was not a safe option.
I had to call three times to get housekeeping on the first day and was told usually housekeeping only come every second day, which doesn't make sense. I don't need my bed made or towels changed, but I do need the trash removed daily. a bit of a strange policy for a pretty expensive hotel.
the play are for kids is nice and the staff are generally friendly and patient.

AAnonymous UserThe experience of staying in this hotel is very good! The hotel has a beautiful environment, and the guest rooms are all independent buildings, embedded in the mountains and forests. It really feels like a secluded place. The rooms are also clean and comfortable with complete facilities. The hotel housekeeper will contact and send the induction guide one day in advance, and will also ask and prepare dinner in advance. Just make a reservation and go on time without waiting. The dishes are super rich, delicious and not expensive (the sauerkraut and mushroom stewed pork belly is sour and spicy and delicious. I love American French fries the most. I ordered two meals of French fries. They are soft and sticky, which suits my appetite very well). The staff are super warm and friendly, and the service is very thoughtful. Oh, oh, oh! I really recommend it!

GGuest UserTop in terms of location, facilities, staff friendliness and room standards. Zero stars for the quality of the dining experience, I'm afraid. Mediocre local dishes hopelessly overpriced and way below average by Ningbonese standards. Could have gone to Hanling village down the road or a bit further into Yinzhou for the same or similar dishes at a tenth of the price (and better quality). We felt it was quite an insult and if it hadn't been rather late and we hadn't been starving, we would have gotten up again and jumped in a Didi. My workplace canteen offers similar local dishes at less than 10 kuai/dish (ok, not a valid comparison, I must admit, but even the most expensive local restos don't charge more than 50 kuai either and provide bigger size portions and tastier). The portions were tiny and starters were priced on average at 100+ kuai while the mains, the size of starters, were on average 220+ kuai. Hardly reasonable for some seasonal veggies and 10 tiny rubbery beef cubes. The white wine hadn't been cooled (happens all the time but kinda unexpected if you pay 4,000 kuai a night for a resort in one of Ningbo's prime locations) and it was a cheap bottle priced at nearly 80 kuai a glass. Having stayed in a variety of luxury lakeside venues across Zhejiang over the years, we were pretty taken aback. For me it was the worst value for money food experience during my entire time in China. We loved our suite, the fitness facilities as well as the architecture of the entire resort though. The service was pretty professional and friendly even though hardly anyone speaks English which is surprising given that this place is regularly frequented by non-Chinese speakers from the local areas nearby (and we saw plenty of those for lunch). Also, in comparison to similar properties across Ningbo and Zhejiang, the breakfast was the worst also. Never mind the continental and English style brekkies (sometimes difficult to get right, we get that), even the Chinese dishes were mediocre (such as the soups, fried items etc) which was surprising. Should we return (we practically live down the road), we'll not spend a single penny on food in this place.

EErnst NZThis is an interesting place as it’s old, contemporary style of an area past, dim lights everywhere, traditional wooden panels alongside huge heigh ceilings. It brings back a time of glamour, reminded me of the Titanic in its former glory. Yet the rooms are crammed, I hit my foot twice on the floor bed corner. The staff are friendly and helpful, english is spoken at reception. Would i stay here again? Probably not, as the darkness of the room, ( windows do open slightly) felt depressing. However great location, cross the river and you are in the mids of the city. Ernst , New Zealand
