"My girlfriend and I, recently visited Mthembuskloof Country Lodge, and it was an incredible experience! The lodge is impeccably clean, and the attention to detail is evident everywhere. Their food was absolutely delicious—so much so that we didn’t even bother cooking the food we had brought along. The entertainment options were fantastic, with quad biking being a personal highlight. It added an extra layer of fun to the holiday. I also highly recommend their full-body massage—it’s the perfect way to relax and refresh your mind. The staff, especially Sipho and Otto, were exceptionally friendly and attentive, always ensuring that our needs were met. Their hospitality truly made the experience even better. If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway to relax and unwind, Mthembuskloof Country Lodge is the place to be. I highly recommend it!"

"A wonderful hotel that I wish I could’ve spent more than just one night at! The room was so cozy with the fireplace, the view from the room was stunning and the property was beautiful. Nothing more you could ask for. The four course dinner was DELICIOUS (the menu changes every night and when we were there I had the a leek soup - one of the best I’ve ever had, mushroom fricasee, and trout stuffed with risotto. My husband had the springbok carpaccio and the kudu steak which were both delicious as well). My massage with Shanon was exactly what I needed, even the view from the spa was gorgeous. The staff were super friendly and were so kind as to light our fire while we were out at dinner. 100% would return to and would recommend (though I am inclined to gate-keep this little spot)!"

Town and Country Mpumalanga

"we stayed here on our way to and from Nelspruit/Kruger park area and each time we had a friendly and warm welcome. The rooms we were allocated were comfy (the first room was on the small side but it had 2 double beds (?) the bed was comfortable and the second bed was used as a "packing station" for our luggage . our second room was a little larger with a comfy bed and again with a fabulous shower. The shower (in both rooms) were great with plenty of hot water and fabulous pressure. Breakfast was good, although I didn't enjoy the fried "frankfurter" sausage. we went out for dinner on the first part of our stay at the suggested Italian... and what an excellent choice this turned out to be. Please see my separate review for this venue. it was quiet, but the food was excellent ... especially the rump steak that my husband chose. Dinner on our second stay it was suggested that we go to a steak restaurant - The Lone Spur steak restaurant. OMG.. what a bad descision ... the service was excellent, but the food was horribly horrendous (more of that in a separate review) the food was nothing like what was described on the menu .. quite the opposite but just how difficult can it be ? They must cook this stuff on a daily basis.. 🙀 Thank you - we enjoyed our stay and your venue is delightful with the various "shabby chic"items , the sitting room/lounge with all the fabulous furniture and that beautiful old leather sofa with the zebra skin ... just delightful! It was ALL quite lovely! Thank you for a pleasant stay ... we came back 2 or so weeks later for a one night stay before our flight home from Jo'burg and our second stay was equally as nice as the first ( except for dinner at the steak restaurant) Best wishes.. ps.... we just loved your 2 poodles 🐩🐩"
