Yumoto Noboribetsu

Great location right at the entrance of the hot spring town and just a step away from the bus stop. The hotel dinner was served directly to the room with a wide variety of dishes, and the service was excellent. The onsen (hot springs) are fantastic, featuring four or five different types. It happened to rain during our stay, so soaking in the hot springs right at the hotel was extremely relaxing and comfortable.

There's only one direct bus from Sapporo Station to Noboribetsu Onsen per day, departing at 13:40 from bus stop #7 in front of the Chuo Bus Terminal (reservations required or purchase tickets a day in advance). The hotel is directly across from the Noboribetsu Onsen bus stop. The hotel's hot spring is a sulfur spring and is very relaxing. Breakfast is a buffet, and dinner is served in the room and is delicious. The hotel is very close to Jigokudani (Hell Valley) and the ropeway entrance to the Bear Park. You can buy tickets for the Bear Park at the hotel for 300 yen less than at the ticket booth.

The hotel facilities are a bit dated, but the hygiene was well-maintained. The hot springs were just average. Overall, it's pretty good value for money.

Booked two rooms for my family. The old man at the front desk was a bit cold, but a young Chinese man came to help with check-in and his service was excellent! Bad review for Trip.com!!! If you're traveling with children under 6, remember to ask the hotel if you can just book a room for two adults and pay a 1000+ yen entrance fee for the child! Trip.com actually charged me as an adult! Cost me 400-500 yuan!!! A 3-year-old can't eat adult sashimi meals anyway! The young man at the front desk helped us communicate, and I understand that the booking couldn't be canceled since we already checked in! Trip.com really misled me and caused me to lose money. Two young, handsome guys came to make up the beds; they were quick, efficient, and good-looking too! 😬 Food: The presentation was nice, and while it looked like small portions, the rice was quite filling and satisfying! Transportation: No worries even with luggage; it's right opposite the Noboribetsu Onsen bus stop, very convenient. I would definitely go again!

Noboribetsu Yumoto was the first onsen hotel we saw after getting off the bus, and you could tell it was very old-school! However, the facilities were also extremely dated! The room couldn't have been less clean! It was big, but uncomfortable! The onsen was great though!

The room has a Japanese style and is incredibly spacious. The breakfast is abundant. It's convenient to get to all the attractions. From Noboribetsu Station, there's a direct bus that stops right at the hotel entrance, costing about 250 yen per person. It’s very close to attractions like Jigokudani (Hell Valley) and the surrounding scenic spots. The hotel has its own hot spring, which is very natural and highly recommended. Dinner is delivered directly to your room, allowing you to experience a Japanese-style meal.
