"This time I booked a private hot spring room. The room was very spacious, with two bedrooms, plus a living room, dining area, and a balcony with fantastic mountain views. The private hot spring was also excellent, with sulfur-rich water that was truly rejuvenating. Upon arrival, we were offered green tea and homemade pastries. Both breakfast and dinner were delivered to the room with dedicated service. The alcoholic beverages we ordered were also reasonably priced. The service was superb. This established hotel offers incredible value for money and is definitely worth a second visit."

"This hotel claims to have the largest open-air bath, and indeed, the hot spring is huge with an authentic sulfur smell. While the facilities are a bit dated, it offers good value for money. The hotel dinner was quite extensive, with crab legs and sashimi being particularly good. Breakfast was a little less impressive."

"Facilities: A bit old but generally clean. The toilet seat and everything else were acceptable, not as bad as some online reviews suggested. Hygiene: Clean, no complaints here. Ambiance: Traditional Japanese atmosphere. It's not an 'Instagrammable' spot, but it's very comfortable and pleasant. Service: Decent, neither good nor bad. The server auntie at mealtime was very friendly and approachable. However, there was an old man at the front desk who was a bit mediocre; they didn't help with luggage, which is something that could be improved."

"The onsen is located in around 1:15 taxi drive from airport, not exactly easy to get there, but it’s good. That is also one of the few onsens in the region with private onsen in the room. The rooms are large and very spacious, onsen is also on the larger side - 2 people can easily stretch the legs there. Windows can be opened and you can enjoy some view. Beware that there are smoking and not smoking rooms There was a free massage chair in our room, it was one of the fancy ones so we could warm some bones first and stretch some bones later on while you’re warmed up. 10 mins away - conbini store where life is flowing 24/7, Hells valley 10 mins away also. You can take an easy hour trail enjoying the views over nature."
