Super 8 by Wyndham Normal Bloomington

I would not recommend this hotel. My daughter and I stayed here, and neither of us are very picky people. But the hallways and room smelled very old and musty/smoky. There was very little security (you could walk right in the outer doors even late at night and there was a large gap at the bottom of the room doors), the decor was very dated, and the room did not seem very clean. We were close to the venue for the Special Olympics that we were attending, but we will definitely choose a different hotel next year!

Breakfast is just a granola bar and a bottle of apple juice. Nothing was provided in the bathroom when we checked in, but it was resolved to our satisfaction.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, and the room was very clean. Overall not too much external noise apart from the occasional car or person. Restroom was very clean and sanitary, and there were no bug problems. This was one of the best motels we have stayed at.

From the time I walked into the lobby I knew it was not going to be good . Because we were tired from driving all day we decided to stay. We had asked for first floor because my wife has trouble with stairs and then found our there were no street level floors after we paid for it.

If you want a clean, comfy, quiet and affordable room, this hotel is great. I've stayed a couple of times now while in town visiting family, and would stay again gladly. It's a great price, one of the most affordable in town, but not low quality. Comfy beds, good cable and internet, and in a quiet, safe- feeling environment

I stayed here last night in the middle of a work trip. Check in was easy, and the place is very quiet. Smooth stay all the way around and I plan to make this my regular stop in the Bloomington/Normal area. Within walking distance of a few places to eat as well.

I travel over 150 days a year for my job and stay exclusively in Wyndham properties, so I review each one. The parking lot was clean and well lit on arrival. Check in went smoothly. My room, a king handicap, was clean, with a comfortable bed/pillows but older fixtures. Room access is via an interior door. The hallways and room smelled great. WiFi speed was 8.9 megs down, 7.22 up via Ookla. All of the normal amenities were in place, such as the microwave, small refrigerator and single serve coffee maker. I didnt see a luggage cart. My digital AC/heater worked well. The television had a decent selection of channels but I couldn't adjust the tv to full screen picture. The breakfast area and lobby were very clean. No drink machines on any floor, only a fridge in the lobby with Coke, Sprite and water. There is no guest laundry, no fitness center or business center available. The only breakfast offered is juice and a granola bar. I've stayed here for work several times and it meets my needs, however other travelers may find the lack of amenities annoying.

Staff is very nice and rooms are nice and clean. Good location with a variety businesses to shop at and restaurants to dine in or out. Very reasonable pricing, with the option of smoking and non-smoking rooms.

The room was spacious and the surroundings are quiet at night. The manager is on site everyday, so if you have any problem he will try his best to solve it! Highly recommended for anyone seeking a comfortable and economical stay!
