Pier 21 Riverside Apartment Hotel

Very nice view facing the swan river, good value for money, and staff is friendly.

A nice boutique style aparthotel in a much less explored part of Fremantle. Loved the facilities of jacuzzi, indoor heated pool, table tennis and an amazing marina view straight from the balcony!

The living room was really large and we loved the tropical style outlook from both there and our separate bedroom. We could see the boats in the marina directly below on the Swan River bounded by green lawns and palm trees. We had a couple of lovely walks along the river track there. It was handy to have a walk in wardrobe but the bathroom leading off was small with a lack of any shelf space. I commented on this when we were checking out and was advised that more shelving had been installed in other bathrooms and the matter would be taken up with the manager to ensure the bathroom in that particular room was improved. I thought this was great service! We chose the cooked breakfast from the a la carte menu one morning and we enjoyed delicious buttermilk pancakes for me and bacon and eggs for my husband. The continental breakfast the next morning was also excellent. I would not recommend staying here without a car as there were no options for lunch/ dinner dining within walking distance.

What a wonderful surprise to find such a jewel. From the homely comforts of the room to the warm and welcoming staff made our ‘getaway’ special. Our riverview room offered a tropical outlook towards the waters and accessible clear waters beach to stroll along. The provision of the indoor pool, spa and table tennis was thoroughly enjoyed. Looking forward to our return and would absolutely recommend. Thankyou!

Had a wonderful stay here. The room had everything I needed with amazing views of the river and boats. Staff were all so helpful and friendly. Especially Vic, Emma who does housekeeping, Emma on reception, Matt and Nigel. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here in Oct ‘22 for a couple of weeks. Lovely quiet area, beautiful views of the Swan River. Apartment was spacious & clean. The breakfast cafe is worth a visit, staff are warm & welcoming, nothing was too much trouble for them, giving tips of places to visit, breakfasts were sooo good, excellent service & food

We booked one night for myself, my husband and my 8 months old son. On the day we checked in we hired a baby cot for the little one and they dropped it off to the room where I found it faulty. My husband called the receptionist to change it but no answer, so he went downstairs myself to ask her to come to the room and help. She didn’t come and said I can take another one instead because she was on a rush. The 2nd cot was faulty too and my husband called the receptionist again and she refused to come and have a look or help. She then said that she is waiting to go home - even it was well before reception closing time - and can’t help and said we can take the baby to sleep on the double bed we have. I got very upset and went to the reception to ask her for her help to fix this issue or call someone to help specially it was only one night stay and it was my birthday. The receptionist said she has Uber waiting for her and she has to go and said to me abruptly that I needs to leave the reception right now (!!!)or she will close the reception and lock her in - as her uber was already at the door!!! Yes exactly that’s what she said , she would lock me in with an 8 month old baby in the reception room for the whole night. My husband said to the receptionist that it’s not appropriate to talk like that it’s a hotel that provides service and we can’t be left or treated like that. She said if she was to call someone to come and fix the baby cot she will charge us hundreds of dollars as it’s not her job. We had to go back to the room as the situation got so damn bad . The other receptionist we met when we MAs the booking was brilliant and so are the other staff members including the restaurant. The hotel lobby location is great. However, Luisa the receptionist dealt with our request in a very bad, unprofessional, and disrespectful way. Threatening your clients to lock them in the hotel facility for the night just because she already called the uber and didn’t want to spend an extra minute to help her clients is extremely rude and I have never encountered anywhere in the world.

Fantastic service from all staff I came across. The hotel had well kept amenities and great accommodation. Staying with my 15 year old son, we made the most of the options and used the bikes to go to Cottesloe and Fremantle most days. We also used the Stand Up Paddle boards and tennis court a couple of times. The indoor pool and spa were perfect at the end of every day. Very handy location - walked to the B-Shed wharf to go to Rottnest, and recommend the riverside track along Mosman Park too. A fabulous holiday and would love to stay again! The bikes and great location meant no car was a breeze.
