I understand this hotel is undergoing renovations. Maybe they should have started in the rooms, rather than the pool area. The carpet in our room was absolutely filthy, with stains throughout. The office chair was a joke; you could only sit on the lowest setting, because the hydraulics were broken. There were fruit flies and ants in the waste baskets. And what we thought was a cigarette burn in the carpet turned out to be the tip of a latex glove! Gross! Spoke with the gentleman at the front desk; he apologized but said there were no other rooms where we could be moved; the hotel was completely booked. He said he could refund our stay if we could find another place to stay (9pm on a Saturday night? No thanks.) He apologized again and said he couldn’t do anything else, but the manager (Joanna or Johanna) would be contacting me on Monday. No call. I reached out to the hotel later that day and was told she was on another floor cleaning, since a number of the housekeeping staff called off. I was assured she would call me the next day by 1pm; it’s now almost 2, and I still haven’t been contacted. Unbelievable!
