Best place to stay! The Sir Charles Guest House is an amazing place to stay. Arlene is the owner and hostess and greeted us personally upon arrival. The house is quaint, clean, and pretty modern. The location is fantastic. It is right in the middle of the islands, so you can get to either the North or South end within about 1 hour. The location has places nearby to eat, grocery stores, gas and super easy access to multiple beaches.

This small property on Seaview Drive in South Palmetto Point has three units. There are two 2 bedroom, 2 bath units and one 1 bedroom, 1 bath unit. It can handle up to ten people if you can book all together. Arlene owns and operates the property, which is dedicated to her late father who was in the hospitality business and taught her the ropes. She's helpful, knowledgable and so very pleasant! The units are fairly new, very well kept and entirely functional. Arlene provides all the kitchen utensils needed to cook on your own. The beds are comfortable, the bedrooms roomy, the deck with BBQ grill spacious. The small beech on the west side is a short 1/3 mile walk down the road, mostly good for walking and watching the sunset. Better beeches, on the Atlantic Ocean side, like French Leave and Twin Coves are a drive up to Governors Harbour. None are marked with signs, and the access roads are quite pot-holed, so checked a satellite map first to plan your route. Arlene can also rent a car to you using her combination house/car rates. And you can get picked up at Governors Harbour Airport if you ask! This guest house is perfect for those who want an affordable and clean place to stay in the center of Eleuthera. Arlene also provides a lengthy booklet of what to see, do and eat on the island.
