For the first time in my life, I honestly have to say, I was disappointed. The hotel is centrally located and has parking facilities. Staff are professional and helpful. This is where the list of positives ends. The room was in darkness when we arrived, and, without knowing where the light switch was took a minute or so to find. It was also cold. OK, we turned on both the light and the heating but, come on, Premier Inn, you can do better than this! Breakfast was perhaps the worst to date at a Premier Inn. If it is advertised as served from 7am until 11am, then the same menu items should still be available, whichever time a guest arrives for breakfast. Sadly, they weren't. Having arrived via the stairs, only to find the door to the restaurant locked (apparently someone had forgotten to open it), I had to go back up to a floor, catch the lift down and enter the other way. It soon became apparent that the kitchen staff had no intention of replenishing any items. No croissants, no juice and no mushrooms. When I enquired, the girl told me that the chef had run out. Premier Inn customers are traditionally greedy at a breakfast buffet, but there is no excuse to ever run out of food. It is simply unacceptable and bad management. I may still complain to head office.
