Book with caution.
I recently stayed at Caistor Hall Hotel, and unfortunately, it was an incredibly disappointing experience from start to finish.
First, the so-called “deluxe” room we were assigned was anything but deluxe. The room was dusty, fixtures were falling off the walls, and the bed creaked loudly with even the slightest movement. The walls were marked, giving the entire space a feeling of neglect. After raising these concerns with the staff, we were offered an upgrade to their “best” room, the Dashwood Suite. While this room was in better condition, it still failed to meet the standard one would expect, particularly given the price and expectations associated with staying at this hotel.
On top of the room issues, the service was just as poor. When we requested assistance with booking a taxi, we were told to handle it ourselves because the staff were “too busy.” Later, it was explained to us that this is a policy, but it was never communicated to us during our stay, adding to the frustration.
Although some of the staff tried to address our concerns, the management’s attitude was dismissive and unprofessional. When I followed up via email, I was met with a defensive response that ignored many of the core issues, including the substandard room conditions and lack of communication.
All in all, I would not recommend staying at Caistor Hall Hotel. The poor quality of both the facilities and the service, coupled with a lack of accountability from management, left us with a very negative
