A very good location for visiting The University of Nottingham. Comfortable bed. Fast internet. That’s all I need for a short business trip.

The receptionists were very attentive and helpful. A pleasant stay indeed. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choice.

We stay at the Orchard regularly to visit our son at uni, and have always enjoyed excellent customer service. But yesterdays visit was disappointing on several levels. We had been put in Hugh Stuart Hall, presumably as a result of the hotel being full of with a conference. The pictures online showed a plush suite with a four poster bed, but the reality was a dull, dated suite with curtains that didn’t fully shut and half an inch of gap around every side of the flimsy door. None of this posed much of an issue when it was still light and we weren’t trying to sleep. But come 10.40pm after returning from our evening, we found the fire alarm panel ringing with an error message & accompanying noise. I rang reception who assured me that they’d send someone to sort it. Roll on 11pm and the noise (directly beneath our room) continued. Eventually we heard voices and three members of the security came to sort it. When checking out and handing the key back this morning the receptionist thought I’d be unhappy about not being in the main hotel; not waiting half an hour for someone to investigate a fault on a fire panel that could just as easily been an actual fire. I can’t really think of a more urgent situation.

The hotel is very nice and the surrounding scenery is very beautiful. The staff service is also very good and gave us a bottle of tap water. I slept for 11 hours and didn't have to adjust to the time difference at all. There was no jet lag at all.

It was really outrageous. There was no explanation on the Ctrip hotel introduction. When we took a taxi to the hotel at night and checked in, we were told that the room we booked was not at the hotel address. After checking in, we had to drive 5 minutes away, and our taxi had already left. There was no front desk and no room service at the place where we were going to check in. We had to ask the hotel to call a car for us and pay extra to check in. It was dark and blind before we found the place. We asked the driver to use the car lights. There were several two-story buildings in front of us. We didn’t know which building it was. We tried to open the door with the key. It was like a scene from a horror movie. I turned on the lights in the living room on the first floor and the study. I was almost scared to retreat. Then I went to the second floor and couldn’t find the lights. I pushed open a door with a key inserted. There was someone inside. I screamed in fear! After confirming that it was other guests of the hotel, I felt relieved. Otherwise, I would never dare to stay in such a dark building with my children! Ctrip, did you know this was the case? Is it true that whatever the agent says is the truth? Such a place is not suitable to be sold to Chinese customers who do not drive themselves. You didn't even explain it in a word. I will argue with you after I return home!

Right in the heart of Nottingham University, the environment is quiet and good for walking and leisure. The breakfast is especially good, the sausages and hash browns are great, and the wild honey is also good

No choice, it is the nearest hotel to the school. There is no big bed, only standard room, the bed is the same size as the student dormitory, only 90, but the mattress is very soft. Breakfast is as usual British style, you can't expect more.

Great hotel, located inside the university, with great views from the windows. You can park your car for free when you stay in the hotel. There is a restaurant in the school where you can buy some fast food and coffee. It is cheap and good. You can get up early, have breakfast and buy a cup of coffee. It is also good to stroll around the school. It is very safe.

Very convenient to the school, with complete facilities

The hotel is located opposite the University of Nottingham football stadium. It takes an i4 car from Nottingham train station (bus station). The hotel is a 15-minute walk to Broadgate, a small town in Beeston. There is a small gate next to the i4 platform and you can walk to Wollaton Hall and Deer Park in 20 minutes. The hotel staff are very friendly.
