I reserved a room for fall 2024 (September) with the IHG app since we might visit family in the area. In June, we learned that we are unable to travel to MI. I tried to cancel the reservation but for some reason, the reservation is non-refundable, even though the travel dates are over 2 months away. I must have clicked the wrong button in the app. Now the management is refusing to cancel the reservation without a $500+ cancellation fee, even though our plans have changed. This seems so unfair when they hotel has over 2 months notice. I am a IHG rewards member and have previously enjoyed other properties, but this seems unreasonable.

Najla, Ahlam, and Debra were all amazing. The hotel and all the staff treated us very well and we had a great stay. Very kind people. Me and my daughter Nawal had a wonderful stay. The rooms are nice and the staff will take care of anything you need, they take care of their guests.

Room in general is ok. Couch is sagging and totally worn out. Carpet could use replacing- feels grungy. Gap in door like it may have been kicked in. Signs all over the lobby area saying no parties, signs all over the breakfast area saying no food to leave dining area and one plate per guest. The first room we were give. Reeked of urine. The second room had the thermostat set to 45deg!!! This place shows a 4.5star review and I have no idea why. The beds and pillows are fine but the place makes us feel dirty.

The hotel was definitely nice and the breakfast was great- even included a salad bar and omelette station! But there were a few maintenance type things I wasn’t a fan of
1- the pillows in the closet for the sleeper sofa were damp with stains
2- a friend had a toilet that wasn’t working properly right when they checked in and they were just given a plunger.
3- we parked on the side near our room and even though our card lit the machine green, the door would not open and we had to walk all the way around the building to get back in.

The elevator was out of service, and check in was at 3 and my room wasn’t ready, I had to wait about 15 minutes
