Ultra modern hotel. Each room has beautiful river and mountain views. Very clean everywhere. Private hot spring bath on balcony is wonderful. Dinner and breakfast were fantastic. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Maybe the best standard sized room of any hotel I've visited. We have visited a number of onsen hotels around Japan and this one was our favorite; both for the room and the meals. The problem here is that the beautiful small shops on the quaint street are almost all closed; and not for the season. I know business will pick up in the winter when skiers from nearby Tokyo come here but it is too bad that the shops have failed. Something needs to be done to bring more traffic and create things to do outside the hotel. The river in September is low so no rafting or kayaking. If you like to hike there are many trails in the surrounding areas.

Awesome hotel! Although some places look old, they are very clean and tidy, so they are not affected. Dinner is set but it's different every day, some days are amazing. Breakfast was buffet but basically nothing changed. The hot springs are very good, especially the outdoor hot springs. Snow falling on the body under the stars feels special. The hotel staff is the most hardworking I've ever seen, and the same person dials the front desk, the restaurant and so on. There is a young man named Pu who speaks some Chinese in South Korea who is very friendly and tries to meet the various needs of guests. The only thing that was not very satisfactory was the attitude of a typical Japanese male who was rather perfunctory. We wanted to change the dinner time one day and he refused. Later, I asked the young man named Park, he said yes, and then called and confirmed with the restaurant to help us improve our time. All in all a hotel worth visiting again.

The buffet is sushi and steak, and the family like mother and father go to the first place, and it can be a strange row that cannot be taken if it doesn't take the flow, and there is a time limit, and it is already i couldn't eat slowly at all... I'm tired of having a seat in the morning and on time. It's a good hotel, but if this amount (１ people 30000) is less, there is a more calm inn. There is no lipi even if it is not alone.

It was here that I suddenly needed to stay in this area for consecutive holidays, and it was vacant. I could only book a smoking room for one of the two nights, but the smell of the room was quite strong for non-smokers. It may be that only heavy smokers usually stay. The site is along the national highway, and it takes a little over 30 minutes to get to the Tsukiyono Interchange on the lower road. Families with snowboards were also staying. Of course, there is no such thing as a drying room. There are Lawson and 7-Eleven within walking distance, so you don't have to worry about shopping. I couldn't find any kind of restaurants nearby. It seems that you can eat something simple at night at the breakfast restaurant in the hotel. The large public bath is a rather small size with four washing areas. It is not a fine public bath like the latest route inn. Free breakfast is usual route in quality. The breakfast bread and juice they use are the same ones you see anywhere in the country. There is no particular problem with the hotel's customer service. The parking lot has a lot of sections, but it felt cramped compared to the latest route-in. It is a hotel that can be used in various ways, not just for business purposes.

The self lounge at the corner of the lobby is good. Since it is a free drink except for night ～ early morning, I am glad to use it before and after check-in out, of course, after the morning bath. You can relax while watching the garden. Because it is winter, I didn't go out, but I saw foot bath? I want to go out next time because I saw something like it. The room is clean. It is especially convenient that there was a bath towel size pole in the bathroom. The side of the washbasin is also a paper towel and ⚪ as a corona countermeasure, but it is regrettable that the toilet was an ordinary towel. I am excited to pass through the tatami corridor to the hot spring. There is also a rest corner at the entrance of the tatami corridor and on the way, and it is safe to climb. A long-established hot spring inn near the stone steps of Ikaho Onsen. It has a reputation for warm hospitality. The characteristic is that there are two entrances, and you can enter from the stone steps side as well as the usual entrance. In many inns, there are many movements in the building with slippers, but since the whole building is tatami mats, you can walk barefoot in the building. The food was delicious and the amount was appropriate. The bathhouse was also large enough to relax. On the other hand, although it is a family saying because it is a good inn, there were some staff who were still developing in their behavior. I would like to expect that I will grow up as a good staff with good teaching from my predecessors. There was also a machine in the room for massage of my feet. I think the massage machine after the bath is cleaned frequently, but I was a little worried about the sanitary condition of the machine in the room. Because it is a thankful consideration, I think that it was able to use it more comfortably if there was a display such as ”cleaned”.

It is located in the middle of the famous Shijie Street in Yixiang. It is not very friendly for tourists who take public transportation and carry boxes. The road on the side will take a while to arrive, and it will be too tired to move up the stairs. However, the location of the entire hot spring town center is really unbearable. There is a soup at the door, which is an experience for many tourists. For the residents, there are three public baths and four private baths (feeling around 40, 50 minutes at around 3,4000 baht). The springs are different. One of the hot springs in the other is the most comfortable and the spring is the best. In addition to water, after the hot springs, it also provides delicious fruit vinegar. It is a good place to relax.

I stayed with my family twice in January 2022, after the New Year and in late January. Both rooms were on the 7th floor. The first time was a corner room, and if you looked down from the veranda, you could see the flow of the Shima River. The second time was not a corner room, but a family of three could relax in a Japanese-style room of 10 and a half tatami mats. Both arrived earlier than the check-in time, but the check-in was smooth, and the explanation from the front desk staff was polite, and it was easy to understand with memos such as meal time and bath time. Thanks to that, I was able to enjoy the open-air bath early. The open-air bath had shampoo conditioner, body soap, and soap. A razor, aftershave lotion, hair tonic, hair liquid, comb, cotton swabs, and tissues are provided at the open-air bath washbasin. It seems that there was also a cleansing for women. There was a place where you can drink the hot springs on the first floor. A paper cup is provided. Two elevators. One was the observation elevator. There were heaters and rubbing alcohol throughout the ryokan. Wifi was available everywhere in the room and inside the hotel, so I didn't have any problems during my stay. It was fast enough. By the way, the price of juice etc. in the vending machine in the inn was the same as the price outside. I was impressed that there was also a vending machine for cup noodles. Tea and sweets were placed in the room, and there was hot water in the electric kettle and cold water in the refrigerator. The tea was Japanese tea and hojicha, and there were many teapot packs. For dinner, we had a meal in a large hall, but each table was far away, and we were given a bag to put away the mask during the meal. You can enjoy your meal slowly. I was satisfied with the quantity and taste. The catering staff was moving very quickly and it felt good. After dinner, there was a picture-story show by the proprietress. It was about 15 minutes, but seeing the proprietress's heartfelt picture-story show made me feel very nostalgic. There was also an explanation of Shima Onsen. When my son saw the picture-story show for the first time, he became a fan of the proprietress. The second time, after the picture-story show, my son was very happy to have a two-shot with the proprietress. When you return to your room after dinner, the futons are spread out and you can sleep right away. My bed is always my home, so the futon in the Japanese-style room is somewhat fresh. The open-air bath was open to men and women at different times, but it was spacious and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Even after 5:00 in the morning, I went to the open-air bath in the dark and woke up perfectly. Breakfast was also very good. Check-out is at 11:00, so buy souvenirs at the shop before that. If you pay by credit card, it will be smoother if you ask them to charge the room before checking out. When I left the entrance, the staff took out my shoes, everyone greeted me in a loud voice, and I was able to leave comfortably. On the way back, when I took a family photo in front of the entrance, the staff came immediately and took it for me. Shima Onsen wasn't a big tourist spot, but it was a very good place to go to the hot springs with your family.

Things to know: Despite the fact that it looks like a three-star basic hotel, don’t let that fool you. The hotel offered lots of freebies. You can eat a complimentary ramen from 22:00-24:00. You also can take complimentary ice creams and probiotic drinks (opened at certain time period) in front of bathing facilities. There’s an onsen facility if you want to have a nice relaxing hot bath. Don’t expect the hotel staff to speak fluent English here, though.
