My Blue Hotel Zanzibar

The My Blue Hotel is very nice and clean. The pool is the absolute highlight. You can enjoy the sunset from the pool. There were always plenty of free loungers on the beach, so that you had a choice of seats at any time. The staff distributed coconuts on the beach daily. The staff is very friendly, the food was delicious and fresh, the evening entertainment was varied, a very clean hotel. We would recommend it to anyone. The location and the beach are great. Massages are offered at the hotel at a good price. We enjoyed the holiday to the fullest. However, the internet was mostly bad. Hardly any reception in the room. This has room for improvement.

Bel hotel avec très belle plage et beau jardin. Tres peu de marée, beau sable blanc Sur la plage si vous le souhaitez certains en recul proposent des balades en bateau....avec discrétion On mange au restaurant les pieds dans le sable, une bonne chose pour moi, peut-être pas pour tous Petite animation en soirée parfois mais les artistes demandent des pourboires, dommage Plage avec 2 ou 3 personnes qui veillent a ce que l on ne soit pas dérangés par les faux masais et cest une très bonne chose Tres bons massages avec des forfaits dégressifs, posez la question. Tres propre et efficace. Env. 100 € les 3 massages. 3 piscines dont 2 au calme Chambres bien décorées Calme malgré la présence d un club italien Personnel souriant Centre de plongée et snorkeling qui a un bureau sur place. Tres sympa et prix très corrects. bon équipement Inconvénient mais l hotel n y est pour rien: les environs aux abords meme de l hotel: travaux, pauvreté...mais pour avoir bien visité c est ainsi partout a Zanzibar J'ai i vu qui proposait la formule tout inclus mais a reflechir si c'est bien utile Donc je recommande cet hotel surtout pour sa plage, son jardin, son personnel souriant et serviable et ses prix raisonnables

The location of the structure is beautiful, the stretch of sea is truly enchanting, as are the gardens throughout the hotel, very well-kept and truly beautiful. The arrival, however, was disappointing: you access the hotel from an unpaved road full of potholes with piles of old plastic bottles on the sides. A real mess. We had booked the "villa" accommodation which included evening tidying up of the rooms and dedicated sunbeds on the beach (which may seem silly but in fact it isn't since you can't find a free one already at 7 in the morning). Since none of this was true, we turned to the entertainment manager who smilingly told us that no, it wasn't like that, the Alpitour website wasn't updated. I had to have my travel agent intervene from Italy, even though it didn't help much because after a day the sunbeds were no longer there and the room was never made up in the evening. A sink was leaking, there were 3 of us and we had drinks and glasses for 2, the minibar didn't work. But we reported it and the matter was resolved. The local guys are always kind and smiling, the only flaw is that the drinks at the tables arrive practically halfway through the meal. The food, although repetitive, is not bad, thanks also to the pasta made expressly by Franco the Italian chef. Unfortunately, however, something is not observed in the hygiene rules given that all of us and many other guests had dysentery. We did the excursions with the Beach Boys who were annoying at first but then you established a friendly relationship. The Masai, who instilled a bit of fear in me in the first few days, are truly fantastic guys, I will always carry them in my heart. The real note of demerit is for the Italian animation. To say he is a fugitive is an understatement. Practically never seen except very rarely in the restaurant. The day before we left a new girl arrived and to tell the truth she seemed a little more present. Let's hope she doesn't adapt to the others' system. Apart from these things, Zanzibar is wonderful! I recommend everyone to visit it and wander around as much as possible! For the hotel you can find better…

This hotel has potential but is not used much. Let's start with the environment... Reception not very welcoming and not up to 4 star service, no one speaks Italian and this is a great shame because those like us unfortunately don't speak much English. Upon our arrival the animation manager welcomed us saying that she would help us with check-in and everything, but still we had to wait 4 hours to get the room after a very long journey. This was not very welcome. We then met the girl in charge of Alpitour, Lorena, and the other two girls from the entertainment team. The entertainment manager Angela, if she can be defined as such given that we only saw her when we arrived and then almost never, explained to us that there would be a fitness program with stretching, water aerobics, Pilates, yoga etc., which was not I ever found. Among other things, once we asked her why there was no Pilates and she replied: "We don't do it for two people", and she also seemed annoyed. The only one we saw often was Gloria who, among other things, also took care of the children. In the evening there were external shows and the only one we saw was always Gloria; it was always a pleasure to stop and talk to her. During our stay we also went on excursions with the people at the property, who were very nice and helpful, and spoke Italian! The rooms are nice, apart from the broken bed and the towels which we still didn't have in the room at 7pm, but if you went to reception and asked for them they would arrive pole pole. The food was not in great arrangement: the salads and fruit were "hot" not having a cooler; the Italian chef was very often rude or nervous. During the day you have to watch out for crows to steal your food from the restaurant. Tablecloths always dirty, practically if you arrive halfway through service they never change them, so you eat where others have already eaten previously. For the beach, unfortunately, too many obsessive presence of locals who want to sell you everything. If we were to return to Zanzibar, we will definitely not choose this property. The weather, unfortunately, was not one of the best, but still it remains a nice holiday in context. Staff super happy and always smiling. It's a shame to leave!! Une belle découverte, l'hôtel est superbe avec un jardin luxuriant et un accès immédiat à la magnifique plage. Nous mangeons face mer et la nourriture est excellente et variée. Le personnel est adorable, les chambres spacieuses et très propres. Que du plus pour cet hôtel qui m'a été recommandé et que je recommanderai à mon tour.

Informal and quite "intimate" hotel on a nice stretch of Nungwi beach (for our tastes, together with Kewda, the best in Zanzibar). Fairly clean rooms, average food considering the place. The location allows long walks to the north and south. Maasai and non-Maasai sellers are always present, but they are part of Zanzibar and if well prepared they are not even thinking, on the contrary. Scenic swimming pool, but often a little cloudy as it is full of sand. Very helpful and smiling staff.
