Hotel Astoria

I can see why many reviewers ranked this place a 5. It is an excellent place in most regards. Everything was spotless clean, and it was roomy enough for the three of us. It was just a two minute walk to the old city, maybe a ten minute walk to the main train station. Quite quiet with the windows closed given its urban locale. But we had two big issues with this place. The AC did not work, and there was no way we could discover to get in contact with anyone about it, or anything else if we had had other issues. Reservations kept defaulting to German (I get it, it's Germany, but if you are offering your place to world travelers, it'd be great if you could communicate with them in English). We tried via phone and text and never got responses. The AC wouldn't have been an issues except it was extremely warm when we were there, and due to the exhaust fumes and noise (being right off one of the main streets in the city), leaving windows open for long wasn't an option. So we had a couple sweaty nights. If not for that and the poor communication, this place would have been great.

This was a wonderful apartment. It had the best shower I have ever had in Europe! It was a 10 minute walk to the train station and the entry to the city. The room was clean and very comfortable. It had a small kitchen. There is no staff on the property but it was very easy to enter. There is a numeric pad outside then there are kisosks inside to get your room key. It was a fast and efficient system of entry.

A nice apartment in a near perfect location. Our room did not have a Television however had a good strong WiFi signal to stream programs. The air conditioner was preset at a warmer temperature than we prefer so opened windows at night for sleeping was necessary for our comfort however the street wasn't excessively loud. Other than the refrigerator We didn't use the kitchen. All in all it was a good stay and one of the better apartments we have rented over the past 60+ years.

Fantastic apartment to stay in. Easy check in. The room has everything that we needed, coffee,tea and even water in the fridge. My hairdryer wasn’t working, so they replaced it immediately. Washer and dryer was in the basement for everyone to use even had washing powder free! A short stroll to the market place. Parking across the road or just around the corner at Aldi ( 18 euro fir 24 hours ) Highly recommend these appartments

A fabulous apartment. Beautifully furnished. All most cons. Toasty warm. Excellent location - walking distance to all the sights. Perfect for using the subway to and from the airport as the stop us next to the apartments. Easy check in and out facility.

The Astoria Apartments are located in a perfect location in Nuremberg, just a little bit outside of the main centre, but not too far out. The location is quiet and secluded and easy to get to, with a supermarket just around the corner and not far from the train station. The apartment that we stayed in was over two floors, it was bright, modern and cosy. It was absolutely spotless everywhere, the beds were comfy, there were plenty of towels for our 3 night stay and there were enough glasses, mugs, plates etc. For our stay. The only downside is that it was very hot in Nuremberg when we visited, therefore our room was very hot during the night and the aircon wasn’t quite powerful enough to cool the room down. The self check-in and check-out is super quick and easy. I would definitely recommend these apartments to anyone looking to stay in Nuremberg.

We stayed at Astoria for 2 nights and it was exactly what we were hoping for. We paid a little more for one of the penthouse apartments and we loved having the extra space over the 2 floors. Really comfortable stay and the apartment had everything we could have wanted. It's also really well-located - a short walk from the main train station, and also just a few minutes into the old town. The self-check-in process was so simple and made arrival/departure quick and easy. Definitely recommend.

Astoria is a no-fuss aparthotel very well located and within walking distance to most of the things to see in Nürnberg. The room we had was spacious, clean and well appointed. The sofa cum bed needs a change though. Check-in and check-out was contactless so we did not get to see a staff member.
