When you book with Primer Inn you know there is always a minimum standard that you will find. No surprises: clean rooms, hot water in the shower, beds big enough for 2 people, breakfast service (optional), a pub/beefeater nearby... Unless you have the budget for a big and posh 5* hotel, just a good option to safe yourself some headaches

We stayed one night for a work trip. There was plenty of parking, clean rooms and friendly staff. Shannon at reception went out of her way to help, which really made a difference to our stay. I cant fault the service and would definitely stay again.

We stayed for 1 night before going on a cruise. The room was cleaned by Kate who did a great job, it smelt fresh and I cannot fault the cleaning standard. Check in was efficient and easy. It’s a shame this hotel now charges £8/nt for parking, I don’t see why they need to do that as it’s not a city centre location- but I appreciate the team have little/no say in these decisions.

Felt the quality expected from the brand was let down by the cleaning team. The towels provided were wet. The toilet bowl was not cleaned properly. There was not enough toilet paper and the desk lamp didn't work. However the Reception staff were helpful and addressed all issues highlighted to them.

I booked the premium room mostly because it has a fridge and this hotel has a convenience shop around the corner, so i could buy milk for breakfast!! (I really don't like having to get ready and out before i can eat anything...). This hotel also has windows that you can actually open, even if just a crack, at least they are not sealed like many other Premier Inn. The other perks were a nice shower, good pillows, a corridor that doesn't stink and it was very quiet (with the windows shut). Wifi was free and decent (i got some codes but i didn't need to use them, not sure what that was...). Overall seemed cheapish built (the showerhead was leaking but got fixed when i mentioned), Staff was very nice, especially a lady in the evening, who brought me water and coffee to restock the facilities. Pricing seemed steep at £90ish/night and considering parking is paid separately, breakfast is paid separately and definitely no facilities like gym or pool.... but for a business stay it was ok. I would happily go back, subject to other local competitors not beating them in price or with extra facilities.

We stayed one night here as we were visiting several attractions in the area. The room was a comfortable temperature and being a family room, it was spacious. We are regular visitors to Premier Inn and the service was exactly as we have come to expect. The ladies on reception were welcoming and friendly, and the staff in the Beefeater Restaurant next door equally so when we called in for our pre-booked breakfast the following morning. There is now a parking charge but this is clearly advertised and something we now expect when staying in a city hotel. The hotel isn’t in the city centre but is an easy couple of miles drive, and even with the parking, it would still work out a cheaper option. We booked our stay before the parking charge applied so just had to remember to advise the reception staff of this so we didn’t get charged. I would definitely stay here again if we were in the area and needed an overnight stay.

Previous Stay good. Stayed 2 nights and woken both nights at about 0430 by someone at the recycling bins near my window. The introduction of £8/night car parking charges is a retrograde step which makes the Premier Inn a much less Attractive proposition.

Standard Premier Inn, but poor reception on checking in, we were told to stand and wait, while the two behind the desk were handing over and chatting about the other staff! The next morning, we had someone strimming the grass and hedge at 8:45am right outside the window, for what seemed around an hour?! I understand it needed to be done, but I guess it could have been done at any time that day
