The room area and the size of the bed are not as big as written in the order. The distance is far, because the geographical location is very high, so there is a distance up the mountain, and the boiling water can be boiled to 94°. There are many mosquitoes, no air conditioning, and the temperature is relatively low in the morning and evening, so the quilt is relatively thick, which is not convenient for hot daytime conditions. It is cool to open the door, but there are bugs. The shower space in the bathroom is very small. The breakfast is filling and the staff is very friendly.

Exceeded expectations. The hotel I booked before was too far away when I arrived at the destination, so I changed the hotel temporarily. I hastily chose this hotel on the APP, which exceeded my expectations. Except that the way up the mountain was a bit difficult to walk, there was a restaurant with reasonable prices and good taste 😌. The room was clean, with heating and hot water. The breakfast was also good. The boss and the boss's wife were very nice. You can see the stars when you open the curtains at night⭐.

We went to this amazing place after being frustrated with a hotel we booked earlier. We were too late to check-in after looking out for so many hotels in the are and my fiance just picked this up randomly our of near by hotels. We went there as fast as we could and waited for outside for few minutes for the owner to come and open the door, immediately we were mesmerized by the hotel interior and the owner greetings. He show us 2 rooms and was kind enough to give us a good deal on the best view room in the premises. Facing the towards the Nuwera Eliya. Room was all hardwood floored, cozy blankets and so peaceful, washrooms was filled with all amenities needed and hot water was spot-on. He sent us some fine tea with some ginger biscuits that was s god's sent at the time. Hotel faced Nuwera Eliya town with tea feilds on the front and on the sides there were vegetable fields surrounding. We had nice chat with the owner in the evening and tried to pet one of his cute dogs was guarding under the front porch, although it didn't work :). We asked for dinner at the hotel and it was really nice and affordable, breakfast was fabulous and hearty too. Staff is amazingly friendly and helpful us to find a cab in the morning too. Highly recommend if you are looking for us fine , clean and affordable place to stay. Cheers!!

This amazing place offers a beautiful view and is a great choice for staying in the Nuwara Eliya area. We stayed in a King Room with a Mountain View for one night. The room was clean and had a wonderful terrace. Managed by a lovely family, we were greeted with tea upon arrival, and the room was equipped with a heater and a warm blanket—perfect for the cool mountain climate of Nuwara Eliya. Although we arrived late, we were pleased to find that dinner was available. While the menu was limited, it ensured we didn't go to bed hungry. The breakfast was exceptional, one of the best we've experienced in Sri Lanka. Cottage San Francesco is cozy, quiet, and a lovely place to stay.
