Excellent food and onsen and indooor private baths and views were amazing! The shuttle service from local train station is helpful and there’s a shuttle service from two parking areas to the check-in desk. A 5 minute walk away is a unique shopping area with other onsens and restaurants. Five minutes more and there’s a gorgeous waterfall to view as well. Go!

I finally arrived at Yinshan Hot Spring, the prototype of the Shenyin girl, although I lived farther away This hotel is not in the main scenic hot spring street and has to walk for a while But the facilities and services are quite good

It was impossible to book a hotel in Yinshan Hot Spring a week before departure, but seeing that Ctrip suddenly had this hotel available for reservation, I was very happy. I arrived at Dashitian Station, because I brought two elderly people and A child was worried about how to get to the hotel. At the same time, the bus driver of the hotel was already waiting for us. At that time, I was so moved that I almost shed tears😇hkD5000/night for one stay and two meals. I am probably satisfied with the hotel service, but because it may be too much I am busy, the employees are tired from work, and there is really not enough manpower, I understand and forgive! Most of the facilities are clean and well-organized, but the heating in the room is not enough, so it took a long time to study and get it right! The hot spring is outdoors, and it has been snowing heavily in mid-December, and my daughter can play snowballs while soaking in the hot spring! It takes about 10 minutes to go to Hot Spring Street! Convenient!

Ginzan itself is located in the remote mountain area in Yamagata prefecture. Ginzan is a smaller onsen area, with narrow roads and steep slopes around. Parking space near hotels is limited so there are always parking space with walking from the hotel you are staying. The hotels on the onsen street are usually smaller. Ginzanso is relatively bigger than most other hotels in the area. It ah a big lobby and lounge area, with complimentary coffee. We parked our car in a separate parking area and was taken by shuttle bus to the hotel lobby. Check in was smooth, and dinner time and breakfast time was arranged while checking in. Our room has a big window overlooking the forest, and the room is quite spacious. When storing our stuff in the safe box, we found that the room is meant for six people to say. The outdoor onsen is quite nice overlooking the forest and was not busy during our stay. Our dinner and breakfast was served inside a dining room with more privacy. Service and food quality are both good. The hotel offers free shuttle bus to the onsen street in the morning and afternoon, but not after dinner time. Walking to onsen street in fine weather is about five minutes downhill. The hotel also provides towels for foot bath in the onsen street. The onsen street is very beautiful and picturesque in the evening with lights on. Many nearby hotel guests come out at night to take pictures. That is the reason so many But the onsen street is quite small, with only a handful small restaurants which close occasionally, might leave you have limited choice in dining.

Ginzanso hotel service is superb. It starts from the time the car arrived at the parking area. There was already a car with driver waiting for us to load our luggages and drive us 200m to the hotel entrance. The hotel lobby is spacious. The moment we entered, timing for our dinner and breakfast were decided and noted on the memo to us. I love the size of the room. It is spacious with a view of the forest and a little stream. The hotel is generous in providing some snacks which helps to decide on the local food to buy at their shop. It is just wasted that some works are going on and we could not see the view in the open onsen. However, the onsen is very comfortable as the temperature is not too hot. Soaking in the open is just nice.

I visited with my family in late March. I wasn't expecting much, but there was still snow on the ground, so the scenery was beautiful! Good points: I visited for my husband's birthday, but since he was on a diet, we didn't have any special birthday cakes. However, I was very happy to receive a surprise gift from the staff at the inn. I also appreciated the coffee in the lounge when I worked early in the morning. Disappointing points: There was some trouble when serving the food, and some of the dishes were broken. I'm not looking for the service of a high-end inn, so I don't really care about this, but it might be a concern for some people if they're looking for perfect service. (I feel sorry for myself since my child was making a lot of noise.)Also, I had specified a late check-out, but I was surprised when the cleaning staff came in without permission. Although I received an apology for the trouble I mentioned in the disappointing points, I believe that overall I received more facilities and services than I paid for. There are many rooms available, so I would like to use them again.

February 2, 2023, from Itami Airport to Yamagata. I was worried that I might have to return to Itami due to bad weather at Yamagata Airport, but I was able to arrive at Yamagata Airport safely. From the airport, take the Yamagata Shinkansen to Oishida Station. From the station, I took the Ginzanso shuttle bus. As we approached Ginzan Onsen, snow began to fall. Be moved by the ideal snowy scenery of Ginzan Onsen! ! The scenery lit up in the evening was also wonderful. For dinner, the special Yamagata beef shabu-shabu was delicious.

This was my second time staying here. Given the current situation, the first requirement for a room is that it has a bath, so I booked a room with a semi-open-air bath. I was looking forward to visiting Ginzan Onsen for the first time in about four years, and after a six-hour journey, I arrived safely, but during the check-in process, I was told, "The bath in the room is not ready, so please wait a little longer." Apparently the attendant forgot to plug the bath. After waiting for a while, I was shown to my room, but the bath was not ready because there was not enough water, so I went for a walk in the hot spring town first. In the end, when I returned from my walk at the right time, the hot water was not fully supplied (maybe due to a malfunction or a water leak), and even if I wanted to change rooms, the other rooms with baths were full and there were no vacancies, so the manager apologized. I'm sure they are doing maintenance, but the creaking sound of the indoor toilet every time I walk and the rising and falling of the tatami mats make it undeniable that the hotel as a whole is aging. It's a bit far to drive, so it's not the kind of place you can easily visit unless you have a long holiday, so it was very disappointing what happened this time, but overall the staff were very friendly and the food, which was made with local ingredients and seasoned well, was delicious.

A family trip with my husband and daughter. Due to COVID, we had to hold off on our daughter's graduation trip. Finally, we were able to go. We arrived on the day of the first snowfall from Tokyo. We arrived at the inn before noon and had our luggage stored. It was snowing, so we returned to the inn before check-in and were told that our room was ready, so we were able to enter the room early. It was about a 5-minute walk to the hot spring town, and they lent us everything, including a bench coat, rain boots, and an umbrella, so we were able to go to the hot spring town without any trouble and enjoy the Millennium Corridor. The next day, the weather was clear from the morning, and we were blessed with good weather, so we were able to enjoy the two faces of the snow and the sun. And since the inn had a room with a bath, we were able to soak in the bath whenever we wanted, as much as we wanted, drink some alcohol, and take a bath in the evening and in the morning while looking at the snow-capped mountains. The large public bath was busy, but the hot spring water was gentle and we felt like we could stay in it for a long time. One thing was that the open-air bath was under construction, which was a bit disappointing, but we were able to enjoy the bath in our room, so we were satisfied. On our final day, we were waiting in the lobby to be dropped off by the bus in the afternoon when a member of the inn asked us if we wanted to warm up in the bath, which we had exclusively available, and we were able to enjoy our last bath in the hot spring. We were deeply touched by this hospitality. The food was also delicious, and we ate mountain and sea cuisine until we were full over two days. To all the staff, from the front desk, cooks, cleaners, drivers, etc. Your warm hospitality made this trip a pleasant one. Thank you very much. (I bought a black tote bag with a silver mark as a souvenir!)
