From the condition of the villas to the quality of hospitality offered by staff, this was a huge disappointment. The villas have not been maintained, as evident from many deteriorating aspects throughout. Best example are the bathrooms, where the tiles do not lay flat, and the grout is cracked and very dirty. Ditto for the caulking around the tub. There's a skylight which does not let much light in due tot he accumulation of dirt and debris. The villas were two stories, and our downstairs level, which included the kitchen and living area, was overrun with ants. Not my favorite early morning activity to collect and dispose of hordes of ants. Also, we did not know what was decaying off the patio, which is off the sliding door from the living area, but there was a large community of flies which prevented us from using the patio or even going outside through the sliding doors. I requested that the ”resort” address these issues but, in the 5 days we were there they did not do a thing. Also, there were steep stairs leading down to the entry door, and the railing was very loose and covered with some sticky substance. Again, I asked for this to be addressed so I didn't have to worry about falling the stairs, and it was never taken care of. We had dinner at the ”club” the first night and the food was terrible. Finally, we had made reservations five months in advance for TWO villas, as we were attending a family wedding in Obidos. When we arrived, the staff told us that no, we only had a reservation for ONE villa. They were quite insistent, until we showed them the email confirmation of the reservation. Even then, they were not apologetic. They found a second villa, but it was not convenient to the first, but they said that was all they could do. We also discovered that the wedding planner had come earlier with two welcome boxes, since she knew there were two parties staying a Bom Successo, but the hotel staff told her that only one party was staying there. However, they claimed, to us, that the wedding planner only brought the one welcome box. Did they not think we would talk to her and find out they were just lying? We were promised that the hotel would provide a remediation for us (we suggested a significant discount was in order) due to the abysmal treatment and the deficient accommodations but, despite repeated inquiries, nothing was ever addressed. All in all, the worst hotel experience I have ever had.

Great place to stay if you're need a place to work & surf. Friendly staff, knowledgeable about the area (do the free surf tip session!). It was the perfect place to get my surf in, and find good wifi and quiet co-working space to work afterwards. Would definitely recommend it!

Though I did not aim for playing golf in this hotel, but it is still worth staying if you plan to stay in Obidos and will drive. The hotel is about 15 min. drive to town centre and parking is easy in the town. Hotel offers free parking and there are quite a lot of park spaces around the area. Some rooms are further away from hotel lobby and restaurant but there are different parking areas around the hotel so that it will still be closed to your room. The room and bathroom are spacious and my room has a stunning view overlooking a large green area and ocean. Bed is comfortable and the room is clean with overall good condition. I had dinner at the bar and breakfast was included in the restaurant, food was ok and you could stay in the bar untill 11pm or 12am (did to remember) if you want to have a drink. You can use the swimming pool (indoor and outdoor) and sauna and you can borrow the robe, towel and locker from them which is convenient. They also have a gym room but I did not use it so I am not sure whether it is also free or not. I will highly recommend this hotel considering the price and everything.

Beautiful hotel. Immaculately clean. The outside area is fabulous with lots of space, a nice outdoor pool, a trampoline, play area, volleyball net and a skate park. The hotel itself is colour full and fun. The staff were immensely helpful whether it be finding toothbrushes and armbands when our luggage didn’t turn up, or offering advice for restarts visit. We stayed in a family room - there are five of us. There was enough space and it was well thought through with big drawers beneath the beds for storage. The balcony was large so that gave us a good outdoor space too. As the balcony was north facing it never received any sun which was a bit disappointing. It’s a five minute walk to the beach where there is lots of surf available. The beaches are beautiful and well worth a visit. The town itself is small but friendly and there is enough there to explore. The breakfasts at the hotel were delicious and always a bit of variety. As the hotel got a bit busier as summer progressed there was some waiting around and things did take a bit of time to be refilled. Would highly recommend this place if you are looking for a slightly active holiday on a bit more of a luxurious space.

This small hotel has clean and comfy rooms. The bathroom was small but everything worked well for us. The staff are very friendly and helpful. It is close to some good restaurants and about 15 minutes walk to the beach area. They have happy hour at the hotel bar every evening at 6pm, a great way to unwind! We would eagerly stay at this hotel again.

A lovingly decorated Hotel in the beautiful old town of Obidos. We visited when the renaissane fair was in town, which led to a great atmosphere in the historic city. The common and private rooms are kept in a medieval-ish style but sport all the modern amenities you could need. The breakfast is well prepared and deliccious and the pool a welcome addition in the hot summer months. There is not too much to visit nearby beside the beautiful old town, but that can easily fill multiple awe-inspiring days. There are multiple restaurants and bars in Obidos that i well recommend. A good mix of relaxing holiday and culture. 9/10 Interior 10/10 Location 9/10 Staff 10/10 Breakfast Das Hotel ist liebevoll in einem mittelalterlichen Stil eingerichtet, die Zimmer verfügen aber natürlich über alle modernen Annehmlichkeiten. Der Pool ist eine willkommene Abkühlung i n den heißen Sommermonaten. Während unseres Aufenthaltes gab es in der Stadt einen großen Mittelaltermarkt, was ein sehr schönes Erlebnis war. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es nicht allzuviele Sehenswürdigkeiten, mit Ausnahme der Altstadt von Obidos. Und diese ist wunderschön, beeindruckend historisch und mit sehr guten Restaurants und Bars ausgestattet, so dass man ohne Probleme einige tage hier verbringen kann. We stayed at the “Campanile” hotel in Caldas de Rainha for three nights during October. It was a pleasant stay, in a modern hotel with easy access to main roads, a supermarket near-by, free parking and a room with all amenities. As is the custom lately there is only soap no shampoo, so bring some. The location is in a convenient spot for day trips to close destinations, like the Obidos Castle, the Nazere lighthouse, the Fatima shrine or the Buddha Garden of Eden; all these are within an hour drive. There was a misunderstanding between ******* and the hotel regarding the cost of breakfast. We had seen “included” when booking, but the hotel asked for pay; ******* promised to reimburse us for the cost (6 Euro/day/person). We would recommend this hotel for its location, amenities and low cost.
