We stayed for 3 nights. Both Marie and Bernie made us feel really welcome and helped us in every way. Preparing for the tongariro crossing and the relaxing afterwards. The breakfast was also very good. Thank you for the amazing stay with superb service

This is one beautiful place to stay, set in lovely grounds complete with llamas, sheep and chickens. Several days here rather than just two nights would have been perfect. Maria and Bernie are first class hosts. A fine breakfast which included home produce.

Die Gastgeber sind sehr herzlich und man fühlt sich sofort Willkommen. Beide tun wirklich alles, damit es einem an Nichts fehlt. Abends am Kaminfeuer haben wir gar nicht gemerkt, wie schnell die Zeit vergangen ist, weil wir uns so gut unterhalten haben. Zum Frühstück gibt es frische Eier von den eigenen Hühnern, selbstgemachte Marmelade und Honig aus der eigenen Imkerei. Hier ist es einfach wunderbar.

We spent an amazing, relaxing 3 days at Ruapehu Country lodge. Bernie and Marie were extremely friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The communal lounge with its big, roaring fire, was a lovely place to enjoy a glass of red after a long walk. The rooms were clean, cozy and well appointed. We will be back to explore this region further and can’t wait to come and stay here again!! Highly recommend

My husband and I couldn’t recommend this venue highly enough. Our hosts Marie & Bernie were so welcoming and nothing was a problem for them. Our bed was so comfy which was great as we had a big day of travelling so the good night’s sleep was needed.

It is an ideal, cozy and comfortable place. Marie and Bernie are perfect guests, they will give you all the help you need to make your stay perfect. If you intend to visit Tongariro National Park, there is no better place to stay. Let them advise you to schedule activities and places to eat in the area.
