The location is right above the train station. If you live at the upper floors the view was fantastic. I was on level 14 and there were no other tall building near me. However, one bad point is that you may hear the trains early in the morning. But there are no trains at night, so that's fine. I was here mainly for transiting. On check in day, they had to do a last minute switch to a non-smoking room for me and they very kindly did it. Very basic room, good space.

The room is very small, but otherwise perfect. You can reach the hotel without even leaving Okayama Station after exiting the gate, and the Okayama Airport Bus Station is just downstairs.

Advantages: 1. Excellent location. Get off the airport bus, turn around and walk back 20 meters, take the escalator to the 2nd floor on the right front, then walk 50 meters to the left front, use the up and down elevator on the left side of the GU store entrance, and check in on the 5th floor. 2. From the hotel, it takes less than 3 minutes to reach the JR station gate. The surrounding businesses, supermarkets, Don Quixote, Takashimaya, Matsumoto Kiyoshi, and 711 are basically within 3-5 minutes (not considering waiting for red lights). 3. The bathroom has hot water very quickly, and the heat is almost enough to make tea. Disadvantages: 1. Breakfast is semi-buffet, that is, there are Japanese and Western set meals, which are set meals, small portions, and the quantity of both is not much. But it can be supplemented by other items on the table. For breakfast, although there is rice, it is not served with miso soup. Except for a slight change in the bread pattern, other dishes are basically unchanged. (I ate it for 3 consecutive days...) 2. My room faces the station and BIG CAMERA, which is very lively at night. On the first night of my stay, I thought I heard firecrackers. Later, I listened carefully and found that it was the sound of train wheels rolling over the rails. It was quite noisy, and there were also sporadic sounds of bikers at night. Others: 1. As for Japanese-style rooms, everyone knows that there is not much space for a 28-inch suitcase after opening it. The hotel requires check-out at 10 o'clock, and a late check-in fee of 1,000 yen is required at 11 o'clock. The hotel has self-service paid washing machines and dryers on 3 different floors. 2. Other hotels in Japan have HAPPY afternoon time, that is, soft drinks in the restaurant (even alcoholic drinks are allowed in the evening), but this hotel has nothing. 3. The hotel has a microwave oven at the front desk, and I have not seen anyone use it after many times of going in and out. However, there is no electric kettle (kettle) at the front desk, and guests are informed that they can use the one in the guest room (why not use the kettle in the room, those who understand will understand...) Conclusion, if I don't have high requirements, staying for 2-3 days is the limit, after all, the price, transportation, and service are there.

I went to Takamatsu Ritsurin Park and Kurashiki one day. Fukuda Tea House in Korakuen is a great place to see Okayama Castle from afar.
