Hotel Granvia Okayama Reviews

Service is good and polite staff for all arrangement. Breakfast is impressive tasty especially for western styles.

Hotel is part of the Granvia chain operated by train operator JR. They are always located right next to a JR train station and therefore very convenient to get to once you get off a train. Rooms tend to be tiny, with problem finding a space to even open 2 luggages. Hotel lobbies are grand but the rooms look tired, and there are really limited facilities for example they do not have public baths. Overall a functional and convenient place to stay but not luxurious.

Is a pretty hotel next to the JR station. Also next to a big shopping mall Aeon. On Sunday, a gentleman played piano in the lobby, really lovely. Most of the room has nice view and reasonable size from Japan standard. The only negative feeling about the hotel is the restaurants. Before I rush to take the train on Sunday, I wish to go to the buffet restaurant. The waiter at the counter just informed me in a very rude manner the restaurant is fully booked. Same as the manager of the restaurant. This is different from most of the hotel which always try to accommodate their hotel guest. I am Diamond member of Cathay Pacific airline for 20 years. Spending a lot of time in hotel each year. I have to say I feel extremely sorry for what happened. As the front desk staffs of this hotel is excellent. Same as the hotel set up is so good. But the manner of the waiter/ manager of the restaurant did spoil the feeling of the guest tremendously.

hotel location next to the main train station. very convenient. staff are very helpful and room is clean and nice. strongly recommend to everyone.

Excellent location, clean spacious room, good hotel concierge service. Will definitely stay here again the next time I’m back in Okayama!

One of the best nearby the Okayama train station. Clean and tidy with comfort rooms and very polite reception staff

Perfect location with link to the mall and Okayama JR station. The hotel staff was very helpful with my luggages as I was traveling with my mother. The only grouse is the lack of hanging spaces for the jackets and towels as there are only 3 hangers. Other than that, we enjoyed the stay and international breakfast.

This hotel needs refurbishment. A bit old

Location is best very close to station (1min by walk) and AEON Mall and other places are connected underground so don’t have to worry even if it is raining. I forgot to bring umbrella so worried to go to AEON Mall from there but underground way was the best. Breakfast cost you 3000 JPY might be slightly expensive but awesome have variety of choice.

Very convenient - covered walkway linked to the Train station.

My hubby had a bad rash on his back after our stay, presumably fm the uncleaned bed. We were a little disappointed with the washroom which was small compared to our previous stay 3 months ago.
