Ibis Cardiff gate needs better management. Why would a hotel tell me that I need to request daily room cleaning???
Room cleaning should be automatic, every morning. Apply new sheets and Duvet cover every morning, supply fresh towels, cups/glasses, complimentary tea/coffee with milk.
Why would a hotel room lack telephone to call the reception when required?
Room size and bathroom not bad, but every other thing was zero.

Zweckmässig eingerichtetes Hitel mit freundlichem Personal. Das geräumige Zimmer ist spartanisch eingerichtet. Die Möbel sind sichtbar abgenutzt und die Betten stehen im Wortsinne auf wackeligen Füssen. Die Aufebthaltsqualität ist als gering zu bezeichnen (Keine Sitzmöglichkeiten draussen z.B. in einem Biergarten). Um nach Cardiff zi gelangen muss ma etwa 20 Minuten Fahrt einplanen und vor Ort ein Parkhaus suchen. (kostet für 3 Stunden etwa 15 Pfund). Wer nicht selber fahreb will, kann einen Fahrdienst wie z.B. BOLT abwöhlen. Einfache Fahrt kostet hier zwischen 16 und 30 Pfund. Das Hotel ist eher für LKW-Fahrer oder Durchreisende für eine Nacht empfehlenswert. Für uns war es die einzige Option, da alle anderen Hotels und B&B der Umgebung wegen eines Taylor Swift Concerts komplett ausgebucht waren.

From the moment we arrived the staff had a friendly smile and welcome. We had a meal which was excellent.
The cleanliness is amazing and nothing was too much trouble for the staff.. We will be visiting again soon and will definitely be booking into Cardiff Gate

The staff at this hotel go the extra mile to ensure your stay is stress free absolutely nothing was too much trouble. Awesome meals for dinner and breakfast as well. We could get the breakfast at 7.00am since we wanted to go early and it was awesome. Best budget hotel ever stayed.
