Very good resort hotel, owned by Marriott, with a private beach and a very good tennis court. It costs less than 500rmb for 2 hours. It's just very hot, so be careful with sun protection

We were in Pine Cliffs for the second time and found the facility, the perfect access to the sea with the lift, the service on the beach to be perfect. Helpful staff and service staff including shuttle service make the stay very pleasant. The cleanliness is particularly noteworthy. The very well-kept complex is inspiring. Our 3 room apartment, consisting of 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, large living-dining room and 3 large, furnished balconies was exclusively furnished. From our balconies we had a great view of the adjacent golf course and were able to watch the golfers play very well :).

Great location! Despite the fact that the hotel is far from new, the entire territory, gardens, beach, pools are perfectly well maintained. The apartment in which we spent 2 nights has everything you need. Very good quality bed linen and new towels, comfortable beds. The hotel kindly gave us two extra hours after the official check out time. Lunch at Corda cafe was a little disappointing: no complaints about service, but prices!!! In our opinion, they are very overpriced given the choice and quality of the dishes on offer. Everything else is excellent!

Consistent and good hotel. In front of the beach with a huge structure, maybe too big. It's a 5 star without great luxury, but comfortable. The Staff this year is unprepared, hired in a hurry. They don't understand anything. The pools are good, the champagne bar is our favorite for many years. Overall the experience was good, as usual.

Such an amazing experience! Pine Cliffs never fail to go the extra mile for all of their customers. It truly is an experience that you don’t want to miss. All of the staff are so lovely and make you feel at ease, no ask is ever too much for them. My personal favourite part of the trip was going to the O’Grill for breakfast. There was SUCH a large variety of options including gluten free and vegan options too. The front of house was exceptional and even remembered us out of the hundreds of people she must see a day to assign us to the same breakfast spot every morning. If you’re thinking of booking, don’t hesitate, just book!

Can’t fault this place, unless you want a quiet vacation with your better half and no kids. In June the place was packed with families and kids. If I rocked up here expecting a romantic break with the wife then I’d be disappointed. No adults only areas and all the pools full of inflatable doughnuts and rubber rings! The view from the champagne bar is delightful of an evening. Breakfast really good.

We are fans of pine cliffs and have stayed here many times over the years. This was our second stay this year. The hotel and residences are beautiful but on this visit we were surprised at the number of large groups and stag party groups who were staying there. Of course, we have no problem with large groups but we choose pine cliffs for the lovely quiet atmosphere. I love to relax on a sun lounger under the pine trees but this time I had large groups either side of me so I couldn’t relax and instead retreated to my balcony. As we haven’t seen this before at pine cliffs I did some research online and I noticed Pine cliffs advertised on a stag party website so I guess that’s why. One of the groups next to me were very loud and they left their bottles and glasses etc all over the grass, which I then cleared up for them. On our first night we were excited to go for a drink at the champagne bar as that’s one of the reasons we choose pine cliffs. It’s a wonderful experience. Unfortunately it was closed for a private event. The gin bar was also closed as was the beach bar which also has a private event. This is frustrating but clearly pine cliffs is appealing to larger groups. It’s just a shame that couples cannot use all the facilities on offer. The restaurants are expensive so we walk into olhos dagua where there are some lovely restaurants. Versatile restaurant is classy and excellent value so we chose to walk there. Via the beach the walk takes half an hour and is very pleasant but an Uber only takes 5 minutes and is only 5 euros. Our residence was wonderful and a great size. Housekeeping is great and everything is spotlessly clean and well equipped. Our room was next to a road though so incredibly noisy as it was the main road through the resort to the mini market and o grill so there were many deliveries early in the morning. Also adjacent to a busy road just outside of the resort. We kept the ceiling fan on at night to drown out the noise. Balcony was huge with sun and shade so that’s a bonus. The beach is the best part. You can walk for miles and the steps down to the beach are not too arduous. I love pine cliffs but hope they are not changing into more of an events hotel than one where couples and families can relax and enjoy.

We’ve been here 1 night out of 8. We booked a townhouse which is spacious but I would certainly not return. The house I don’t think has been decorated since the 80s, it’s very tired, the sofas are the most uncomfortable ever and the TV is so dated that you can’t get Netflix. The gardens are nice but so many people, the pools are too busy, restaurants and drinks are so overpriced. €12 for a mocktail. Everything is extra - football camp is €70 for 2 hours! Padel tennis is €55 for an hour. Kids activities all extra. I don’t mind paying extra for things but there is no value for money here and certainly not a 5* resort. Incredibly disappointed and frankly cant wait to go home!

This resort was one of our favourite stops during our Portugal trip. We stayed in a 3br suite. Only downside, the resort is quite big and walking to and from buildings was quite difficult for my mom. We found that the shuttle was hard to come by so we drove almost everywhere within the resort. If we didn’t have a vehicle, it would have changed this review as we would have wasted lots of time just waiting for the resort shuttle. The beach is good but considering the cost to stay here, there wasn’t a lot of beach chairs/loungers and umbrellas to use. Accessing the beach was also quite the trek. The beach side restaurant was nice but was busy so the service was very slow. Also seemed like they forgot about us. But, aside from those minor things, we enjoyed the amenities, entertainment and restaurant options this place offered. The pools were great and the playground kept the children entertained. Loved the location of the resort. Close to a small grocery and a delicious peri-peri chicken restaurant!

I’ve stayed at Pine cliffs 4 times over the last few years – great location, great spec accommodation – however I think unlikely that will return again following experience with their restaurants During my stay with them (July 24) they have changed their approach to billing for meals in restaurants – they now show the “Total bill” amount including “their tip amount" of 10% In the past - If service was decent I always left a tip Their restaurants are quite expensive - running into a bill of hundreds of euros for large family at lunch or dinner – so a tip of 7% was 25 euros which I feel is a decent amount for average service – however, their new bill approach caused chaos with servers insisting the bill must be paid with the 10% - over the past week I seen a number of arguments play out between customers and restaurant staff I suspect I will not be the only customer voting with my feet and not going back – it’s a nice spot but not worth this hassle every meal time.

Pros: 1. Location - beautiful beach 2. Resort has a lot of potential. 3. great views and service and food at Mare. Cons: 1. No step free access around the hotel. This made it very difficult to get around with a pushchair. 2. Long waits for the shuttle service around the hotel. Up to 15mins each time which is difficult with young children. 3. Lack of customer service. We had to call several times for any request. I.e i requested a shower cap 3 times before it finally came to my room. 4. Cockroaches in the room. Whilst we understand its part of nature its not acceptable in a 5 start resort. We were told pest control would come to our room whist we are at the beach. This was not the case. They came on the penultimate night in the evening whist my kids were asleep. We could not let them in at that time. 5. There seems to be a lack for communication around the hotel and and with the restaurants. We tried to book a restaurant several times only to receive a response from concierge the day after our booking request. After we sorted out the reservation ourselves. 7. Breakfast was average, quality of food needs to be looked at. At the residential there was massive queues at the omelette station with only one chef This hotel has a lot of protentional but the address issues need to be resolved first.

An excellent two weeks with the family at Pine Cliffs. Stayed in a 2 bedroom garden suite which had two bathrooms, nice balcony and good kitchen facilities. Garden suites have a nice pool near by but are also close enough to main hotel areas. Preferred to go to the larger pool next to the O’Grill restaurant for easy lunch access! Resort has lovely restaurants, something for everyone, but only a short walk out of the resort takes you to another 10 or so restaurants - Indian, tapas, Italian, burgers etc if you fancy a change or want to save some money! Plus there is a supermarket right opposite the main entrance. The sandy Beach stretches for miles and you have free access to sun beds via a lift or stairs from the resort where you can also book kayaks, jet skis, etc. Mare beach restaurant a real treat for either lunch or dinner. We arrived at midday and room not ready until 16:00 which was a very slight inconvenience - but next time will be better organised so we can get some shorts etc from the luggage to get straight into holiday mode. Key for me: high standards of facilities, lovely service, number of pools/ restaurants, close access to beach, but also easy access to restaurants outside the resort. I also liked how big the resort was - took a few days to get our bearings and find the short cuts!

We stayed at the pine cliffs hotel for 3 nights with all 3 sharing a duplex suite with a resort view. Overall I cannot fault the resort, it has great facilities and the staff are very attentive and are ready to hell with anything you need. Breakfast was hosted in a buffet restaurant and the breakfast offerings were what I have come to expect from 4 or 5 star resorts. Great selection of food and very fast service. We played the pine cliffs golf course which we really enjoyed and used the spa for a relaxing afternoon after 18 holes. A great stay enjoyed by all and we will certainly be back again.

The service at the hotel is terrible. They seem not to care about guests, special needs particularly for guests with disabilities are promised to take care of. In reality they do not do it and willingly accept harm to their hotel guests. There are excellent Bonvoy propoerties at the Algarve that outperform this one on every dimension. Particularly as a family, if you love your kids go else where. There kids club is a money making scheme, nothing else.
