Easy and secure, quiet, clean room

This was the kind of experience one recounts with hushed tones and shivers to faces aghast. The bathroom - the room where one attempts to become clean in spite of the mouldy shower curtain and inhabited cracks - is a horror show. It's like a portaloo sprouted a showerhead. It's impossible to take a shower without kicking the toilet on the way out. Speaking of which, I don't want to know what the stains on the toilet are. There is hot water, but you must choose between scalding or freezing. No need to use it though; there's no point. The room doesn't seem to have been cleaned since the hotel opened. The sheets are ripped and a health hazard. Towels are pre-stained. Oh, and the doors and windows don't close properly. And I'm pretty sure we got a good room. Flee.

Personnel très agréable et sympathique,on ressent un hôtel vieillissant qui a une certaine époque étant très bien, chambre donnant côté rue donc bruyante et ainsi que la cage d’escalier et porte donc du bruit jusqu’à presque 3h du matin. La literie était récente mais à mon goût très dure mais doit convenir à d’autres clients . La fenêtre de droite était fissurée et le volet de gauche cassé. Chambre et salle de bain propre mais cette dernière n’avait pas de quoi poser une trousse de toilette . Il n’y a qu’une table de chevet . Par contre il y a une couverture supplémentaire et oreillers . La Clim était récente mais plus petite que l’ancienne et pas repeint autour . L’endroit reste très pratique pour visiter sanary. Le prix très correct mais pour moi cela reste une mauvaise nuit .

We were lured by the descriptions on the hotel website into paying an eye-watering price for a ‘deluxe’ suite at La Farandole, expecting it to be the highlight of our long-awaited 20th anniversary roadtrip. Sadly, it was the worst four days of our vacation. The only luxurious thing about this suite was the view. Everything else was a 3-Star standard at best. The hotel is situated at the end of a quiet beach with stunning sea views and a nice-looking pool but the property has many serious defects and problems. Strangely, the door to our suite shared a foyer with the staff entrance to a noisy kitchen and storeroom. Our ‘private’ terrace was not attached to our suite as implied on the website. Instead, there is a separate rooftop terrace that can be booked by guests. The suite itself has only a tiny balcony with two chairs and a table. We had access to the private roof terrace and jacuzzi but the stairwell is locked - ‘for staff use only’ so we had to take a slow elevator to the roof each time. This meant an awkward wait in the public corridor outside the restaurant. The water in the jacuzzi was filthy with dead insects and yellow foam. It was only cleaned on our third day. The worst problem was the nasty sewage smell in our suite. We reported it several times to the manager because the smell kept us awake at night. It was only fixed on our third day (with many apologies) and the installation of an air-freshener. The other issues were minor but collectively annoying. The bed was cheap and basic with small lumpy pillows and a bedsheet that did not fit properly. The mattress was old and uncomfortable. The bathroom and shower were good quality but there were no ‘luxury’ amenities as promised in the marketing - there was a cheap hair-dryer attached to the wall that kept cutting out. The wifi did not work in our room and the unit was eventually replaced by the manager (with more apologies), but only after a rude technician kept insisting it was a problem with our own ‘foreign’ devices. There was a coffee maker and a small mini-bar in the wardrobe but nowhere to store any wine or snacks. We received a complementary bottle of mineral water every second day but they forgot to replenish our glasses and the phone to reception was rarely answered, which meant frequent trips to the front desk. The reception staff were friendly and kind and clearly hardworking. They were very apologetic about the many problems we encountered but unable to do anything about our room or price. Housekeeping was sporadic and we had to go hunting for pool towels to use on the terrace. These were not changed for the full duration of our stay. The sun-beds on the terrace were dirty and in disrepair, with bits of old scratchy velcro where the pillows had once been. On day one we found an old cigarette butt on the lounger that was still there when we left. All kinds of coffee! All kinds of juices, teas, fresh fruit, and delicious snacks, It's free to use! Although the room space is not large, But simple and design! Very recommended!

This is the 2th eme we come and this hotel meets our expectations: a very good location in the centre of the bandol, a location for the car included in the price what is not negligible, a very good litter. We also liked the large 20 m2 room, with kitchen corner and its nespresso machine , the kindness of staff that as soon as he can overclass it ( we were overclassed 2 times) without forgeting a beautiful terrace with view of the port , The winter side is surprising at the first floor but makes the place warm

Beautiful setup within a golf course and vineyards, but just missing a beach access. Great Staff, very kind and smiling. Amazing Breakfast with products of quality. But the hotel is a bit oldish and needs renovation of the rooms/bathrooms and improvements in the building. Nice swimming pool, but too bad it is divided into 3 bassins instead of a big one for long swims...

We had an unplanned 4 night stay at the hotel following a break in to our camper van (which was parked by the naval barracks in central Toulon). All of our personal belongings were stolen, including our passports; all we had with us was our little dog, his food and feeding bowls and the clothes we were wearing. We arrived very late in the evening to the hotel (without a reservation) and still in complete shock. We were able to securely park our damaged van in the underground car park and made our way to reception. There, we were met by Kevin, who was brilliant and very understanding - he made sure we had everything we needed before we went to bed that night. The next morning, we had a huge amount of admin and logistics to navigate, as our original plan was to travel onwards to Mallorca, and this is when we met Samuel. There were countless times that myself and partner asked Samuel for his help and advice with trying to print documents and assist with communicating on our behalf. Our French isn’t very good and the team’s English is excellent! He went above and beyond to help us. Nothing was a problem despite him and the team being very busy. We met Bernard a few days into our stay and he also demonstrated the same will to help, cheerfulness and professionalism. He was able to find a good vet for us close to the hotel who was able to help with paperwork and worming treatment for our dog so we could return together back to the U.K. We are extremely grateful to Kevin, Samuel and Bernard for their fantastic service and help. It made a huge difference to us following a very stressful experience. Although most of our interactions were with the guys, we could see that the entire team work really well together and are very organised. There is a good rapport between them all. Thank you to everyone. We are so grateful. It’s the best hospitality and kindness we’ve experienced for a long time. Keep being brilliant!

Unfortunately, a newly renovated house, which is still very well equipped, which is very attractive and that is also, meets absolutely incapable staff. Maybe they had a long season.... But just the old lady at the reception, who did not speak English or tried to break it, was nice at the first moment, but no one of your statements has proved reliable! On the arrival day we could not book a table for dinner at 17.40 at the same day (we had a 9-hour trip behind us). Later we asked again for the next evening. We then received a pledge for the next evening at 19.45. Unfortunately, we did not get the table in the restaurant next night, because the lady from the reception, which was there on the other hand, was also there on the second night, but, as all the others, she was discharged from the staff, didn't remember anything.... It was a good idea to get us to the team and to the guests (which is probably working per employee and not per guest). Our advantage was that we had already paid at the arrival and could prove that. The situation was not only bad, but also skurril. It was particularly bad that our children made the statement (filial 7Jahre) ”she is happy to come back here”. We had no longer a bit of dinner there. And we looked for something else again. The breakfast on the day of departure was as well as the morning before and it went piece-by-piece everything was empty. Whatever S*****es, cheese, eggs, marmelade.... It was not because there was too little staff there. Also here was looked away, it was only important to clean the tables of guests who went as quickly as possible and thus clean.
