Super 8 by Wyndham Olney

The owners are very rude and threatened to call the police because they wanted an extra $30 that was not stated when we checked in. We told them when we checked in we had a dog and nothing was said. Then all the sudden they want $30 as a deposit for a pet. My husband said he would go up and pay it in just a minute took the dog out to potty. Another knock came on the door and was threatened if it wasn't paid immediately the cops would be called. I would not stay in this hotel if my life depended on it

Computer was down on check-in. Bed spread looked like it had someone standing on it to work on the ceiling. Toilet didn't fill upon flush, Front desk notified and upon return to room toilet appeared to be working but running. Had to manually take the lid off to jiggle the float to get toilet to shut off. I had to perform this for my 4 day stay. Half the electrical plugs actually worked in the room. The end table lights did'n work.The TV remote was cracked and a piece of it missing, My stay required late nights and maid and hotel workers often heard in loud conversation or working very early in the morning...

This property is currently under renovation. We have stayed here numerous times. Hoping that the changes will be good for it.

I was in town for work. Stayed 16 days. Clean quiet hotel. Friendly staff. Rooms are super clean. Water is Hot. I have a truck and trailer. They have plenty of parking Usually you hear a lot of noise staying in hotels. This one is quiet. Will stay again.

This was a very good location as it was just 10 minutes from my daughters house. The facilities were clean and the staff was extremely helpful. WE plan to stay their the next time we come to Olney.

Total trash. Come here if you want to be able to tell a story about how terrible that hotel was. From all the construction materials just thrown all over the place to the worst breakfast…seriously don’t even try it. Oh…and the black mold on the ceiling of the shower…stains and tears on the sheets. The mattress was the best part…and it needs replaced. Wyndham should be ashamed of this property.

Having seen recent rave reviews about this hotel on other sites, I decided to take a chance and booked a weeknight. The hotel is undergoing renovations which were still in progress during my visit. The rooms have new paint, carpeting, lighting, beds, bedding, appliances (A/C unit, refrigerator, 1-cup coffee maker, hairdryer), sink, and vanity. The bathtub was old but the shower head was new and the water pressure was good. The dresser, desk, and nightstand looked old but functional. The carpet in the hall had been laid but not tacked down, and the stairwell carpeting had just been removed. The laundry room had new tile but no grout yet. A work in progress for sure. There was a nice breakfast spread with hot food (eggs, sausage, hash browns, waffles) included. The front desk staff were very friendly. Overall, this is probably the nicest Super 8 I have stayed at. Now having said that, it is still a Super 8. The basic architecture is unchanged; the walls are thin and there's no place to hang clothing. If you keep your expectations at that level, I think you'd be pleasantly surprised, especially considering the price. I've paid far more for worse places.

The room was definitely not thoroughly cleaned. The floor was definitely not vacuumed. The surfaces were clearly wiped down with some dirty wet rag that left residue on everything. The sheets may have been ‘clean’ but they had stains on them. They should have not used those sheets, should have been tossed. The breakfast area was disgusting. I realize it was under renovations but it was still super gross. No one was working the front desk in the morning. None of the food or drink items were available. Not that I would have eaten anything from it. Never again will I stay at this hotel.
