Quality Inn Oneonta Cooperstown Area

The property is dated, no elevator for the second floor. The hallways smells like moth balls. Other than that its ok for a place to stay.

The AC unit did not work adequately. It would turn off on its own. The room would get hot my husband tried to adjust again and it would go on and turn off again. In addition, there was a bug that appeared on my husbands leg while lying down. When we shared our dislikes with the front desk they were very uninterested. She stated oh its just a spider as if having spiders in bed was natural. She never even apologized for the inconveniences we inquired during our stay.

Without hesitation the front desk attendant asked me if I would like to switch to a ground floor room because he OBSERVED me and my cart with bags moving slowly. I did not have to ask or complain… I was asked…so in a second we exchanged keys and went from 205 to 109. That is an employee who cares about your stay!! Thank you!

Horrible experience. If I could give this hotel minus points, I would. Our 1st room had the following issues: the place is filthy, the carpet is disgusting, and the bathrooms have mold on the tile. The toilet seat was loose. Shower and sink did not drain. The refrigerator appeared to be constantly in defrost mode making an awful banging noise all night. There was blood on my comforter. Bed sheets kept falling off because they didn't fit properly and were very worn. Door key cards stopped working about every other day. The Room always felt damp and musty. We requested a different room and even with these issues, they weren't immediately accomondating. They gave us a different room but this room had issues also. The maintenace man (Frank,who was one thing good about the place) had to bolt down the toilet because it was not installed properly as he was able to literally lift it off the tile. This room was also filthy with dust everywhere, the carpet was very dirty, with crumbs and dirt everywhere and also felt damp. Even the curtains in the room did not match from one side to the other. I am a frequent traveler and would never stay at a Choice Hotel again.

Not very clean. We won’t stay here again. At the time of our stay, there were several high school sports teams staying at the hotel. It made it impossible to get breakfast and many food items ran out. Not the hotels fault.

Convenient (41 minutes) to Unadilla Motorcross Park in New Berlin. Parking was great and check in was a breeze. Bed is quite comfortable. Bathroom needs some updating. Microwave and fridge are handy. Overall, room was far better than I expected.
