Basic 2 star accommodation at best. Rooms are poor and grubby. Beds are utility. More hostel than hotel. Some bedrooms over look the railway line a few feet away . Freight trains run throughout the night which ensures you get no sleep. Breakfast was pathetic. Cooked breakfast was literally a fried egg with a piece of bacon on it. It was not cooked fresh nor was it kept warm. The ground floor has a grandly furnished restaurant and food there is high standard but it must be separately enterprise. We were placed here by VOS via a TUI tour of Norway. Dreadful !

We had a nice stay at the Oppdal Turisthotell. Center of town and close to shopping. It was a great place for us to break up a long drive to Oslo. One of the more simple breakfasts, but more than ample. The breakfast area was very nice and clean and the staff was constantly collecting unused plates. They were very nice and accommodation. Our check-in was so very efficient too!

Room felt dated and in need of a freshen up. Room really warm, no air-conditioning or ventilation. Had room overlooking railway and was woken almost every hour by trains passing through, even with windows closed...which then made room to warm to sleep.

Loved the atmosphere the second you enter, smelling the open fireplace in the lobby, being greeted with welcoming smiles from the receptionists, easy check in. The room was nice and clean, the bed was nice and the room was clean! Good size bathroom with heated floors, great for drying off boots and wet snow gear! Accessibility to the hotel was impeccable, the hotel more or less is the long distance travel hub, as it's on the train and bus station! And the view from the room was jaw dropping...

I requested a room in the old part of the hotel so I don’t know what the newer rooms were like. The staff was great! We ask for extras and they were willing to do it. The room was a nice size and clean. The beds were wonderful! We loved the heated floors in the bathroom. However, the bathroom was SMALL! There wasn’t a real shower just a sprayer in the corner with a curtain around it. No shampoo/conditioner/hand soap. We could only find two outlets on the baseboard so it was almost impossible to use my flatiron. No side tables beside the bed. Only five channels on the TV…no news or weather. Great location!
