Mold growing on walls. Rude front desk staff. Sticky floors that stick to your shoes. Loud refrigerator (had to turn it off to sleep). I stayed here earlier this week and when I checked in I noticed a few black spots on the walls - thought it was dirt but might be a little mold. Two days later, when I checked out, there was mold growing on the walls, lamp shade, and even the bedsheets. I reported this to the front desk person and requested a complete refund. I don't care about the money. I just don't want to pay for a moldy room! She went to see the room (pictures attached), and only gave me a one day refund saying that there was no way the mold wasn't there when I checked in. Why does that matter? Was she implying that I would stay in a moldy room for two days so I could get a refund? Is that the kind of people who stay at this hotel? Yuck! The fact that it wasn't moldy when I checked in means the mold was likely already there, and they keep trying to cover it up with bleach and it grows back fast! I only stayed there for two days. I told her this and she refused to give me a full refund. The appropriate response is apologizing for the mold on the walls, and acting shocked (even if they're not), issuing a full refund, and saying they will address the issue immediately. Everything would have been fine then. They did none of these things and were rude claiming that I lied about the mold not being on the walls when I checked in. It wasn't. Again, why that matters is beyond me. The best part of my stay was walking to a local Mexican restaurant and rescuing a turtle trapped in the road that couldn't get over the curb. I checked on it later and I had moved into the bushes and seemed to be OK. However, this hotel is not OK.
