Hotel Osaka Castle Reviews

Was surely a grand hotel when opened in 1967. As of 2024 there is a major problem: no temperature control in the room. It was just far too warm and I couldn’t open the window. So I checked out after just one night.

Although the decoration of the hotel seems old -fashioned, the room is clean and the staff members of the hotel are quite polite. The location is convenient as well and thus the hotel is still recommended.

Good location, directly west exit of keihan line. Everyday cleaning of room. Walking distance to parks, osaka castle and Japan mint museum. Staff are friendly and helpful, too

The room is very small, but fortunately there are floor-to-ceiling windows so it doesn't feel too depressing. The hotel was built in 1967, and the facilities are relatively old. The refrigerator is very noisy and can't be used. But the location is really good. The subway is downstairs. There is a door in the lobby on the 7th floor of the hotel that leads directly to the mall bookstore. I bought a lot of pens. I went to the nearby Osaka Castle Park in the morning and finished visiting it before a large number of tourists arrived. It is very beautiful. In addition, the hotel's hygiene is really sloppy. When I entered the room, I found that there was still water in the kettle, and there was dust on the table and bedside. I thought I could see the river view, but the room here didn't.

-The final double room ordered is better than the double room on the left👍🏻 - The soundproofing area is so rocky that my room is located at the intersection. People walking outside all day long can be heard very clearly. -The staff is nice👍🏻 -The hotel is older, so you have to use a tight key to open the door, but you don't need to insert the card to turn on the lights and air-conditioning first (you can keep it on when you exit Zuo Street) -If you want to set up a room, you need to set up a bed first and use the table first. -As soon as you leave the hotel, walk 1-2 minutes to the subway station (Temmabashi Keihan Main Line)👍🏻 -There are all convenience stores/restaurants/coffee shops/supermarkets nearby👍🏻 -It takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to Osaka Castle👍🏻 Will stay again next time if I have a chance👍🏻

The room was quite old and had a normal key instead of a card key. It was close to the station so it was great to be able to get around without getting wet even in the rain.

The hotel staff were kind and courteous. Because the flight was in the early morning, I couldn't check in when I arrived. However, I could store my luggage and the service staff would help deliver the luggage directly to the room. The room this time was on the 7th floor. I chose a non-smoking room. I wonder if there are non-smoking rooms on the same floor. When I walked in, I smelled a strong smell of smoke for two days. The room had a damp, musty smell on the first day, so I had to turn on the air freshener and spray air purifying spray for a long time before it improved the next day. But overall the hygienic condition of the room is pretty good. When unpacking the luggage, the toilet door or wardrobe door cannot be opened after the 28-inch suitcase is opened 😂

I came to Japan before and saw this stunning hotel while walking. This stay was indeed worthwhile. There is direct access to the subway downstairs, and the hotel is along the river and surrounded by the Mint's cherry blossom forest. Next door is the Osaka Castle Tower. The Mint is also within walking distance. Excuse me. If you want the price of 200 to 300 soft girl coins, what kind of bicycle do you want?

The room is really old. There are three of us. One of the beds is a sofa bed, which always sinks down. The air conditioner in the corridor is turned off at night. It is a bit hot, but not hot in the room. What is unpleasant is that their quilt is separated by a sheet, and the quilt on top should not be changed for each guest. The bathroom in their room is very clean and new. The slippers are very ordinary, and the windows are really clean! ! The surrounding is very convenient. There is a subway entrance downstairs, which can directly take you to Kyoto. It is also very close to Osaka Castle. It is still recommended.

It was really nice. The station was right in front, so transportation was easy. Above all, it was great to have staff who were good at Korean. He even caught a taxi himself and was very kind until the very end. I was so impressed. The room was clean and everything I asked was answered kindly so it was nice to be able to ask questions without pressure. It was right in front of the hotel. Because it was a river, the view was very pretty.

Overall it was comfortable, but the toilet seat heater was left on. It was really hot, so I tried to turn it off, but I couldn't find the switch anywhere, so I just used it. On the back of the toilet seat cover, it said to turn it off if necessary because there was a risk of low-temperature burns. I read all the instructions in the room, but there was no mention of the heated toilet seat. Just before leaving, I noticed that there were three switches in an invisible place next to the toilet seat itself, and they only worked if you pressed them hard. I pressed one of them, and the others didn't change anything. I wonder if there are toilet seats that can't be turned off in the middle of summer. Also, I think there should have been some kind of explanation in the bathroom or room. It was a shame because the rest of the room was good.
