Excellent hotel with a fun pizza restaurant and superior breakfast buffet - thanks for the waffles. Central location next to a train station ( Airport Express train) and tram stop. Aker Brygge harbor area with restaurants nearby and cultural opportunities at the National Museum and National Theater. Thanks for a great stay.

Look no further A fantastic "little" hotel in the very heart of the city. Superb service, rooms, breakfast on top of the very best location possible Any better? Might be some bigger, more modern and flashy but the location, service and atmosphere trumps all that

Hotel Christiania Teater Oslo WORST EXPERIENCE EVER - STAY AWAY! Is this a new way of cheting their customers? We looked forward to see a great show on Christania Theater and then sleep over at Hotel Christiania! Our kids had come over a campaign as members of the club Strawberry , and had bought Hotel Packages with show and stay over for my 60 years birthday. As we just could see our tickets naming "Hotel package" and not which hotel we should stay at, we called the hotel 2 days before we should arrive. They could not find any reservation there, so we where thinking that it must be another hotel. I informed my son who have made the reservation, and he spent hours in the different departments on Hotel Christiania and Strawberry. They denied that the package bought was a hotel package, even though it was stated on our tickets! So now we had no hotel after the show! We where at the reception now, and we showed the front desk workers our tickets, stating it was "hotel package"! They said that they also thought it looked strange, but it must have been some mistake with what was written on the ticket! Later in the afternoon our son recieved a phonecall from the hotel, appologasing for the problems that had occured, and now they had room ready for us at 3 pm. My son called us and assured us that all was good I looked at my email and I had recieved a mail, saying that the room should be ready at 3 pm, and that they where sorry for all the problems. We went back to the hotel after lunch, and when we arrived we where offered a room for a lowr price than normal........ We showed that our tickets again, the confirmation who said that the room should be ready at 3 pm and all the documentation we had. The mail was "bad formulated" but it was still no room in the package our kids bought. We also got a confoirmation mail sent from our son, that showed that the ticket he bought was tickets in a "hotel package" , but they did not care. It must be wrong thay said again Luckily we are not people that let others misbehaviour destroy our night, so we went to the show, had dinner in a restaurant and then took the traing back home. However I must state that this is the worst service I have ever experienced in any service facillity in the world! We where even told that their boss was informed and that they still did not have any room for us! I recommend all visitors in Oslo to stay away from any booking at Hotel Christiania Teater, the reason is that they dont care if they cheat you and have a service level that should send them to be bankrupt. SHAME on you (Our tickets and the picture of what was ordered on internet, can be showed if wanted! )

Had a nice few nights stay here. My room, the "double petite" was compact but functional and the bed was comfortable. The top floor was quiet and I didn't hear any noise from other guests or the street. This is a historic building so the single elevator is small and slow, recommend taking the stairs down when possible. The breakfast spread was beautiful and delicious, didn't need to eat lunch! I also had a good pizza at the Teatro restaurant one night. I had to check out before breakfast opened for a very early train to Bergen and the front desk packed me a nice little breakfast bag that I enjoyed on the train (be sure to request the day before). The location is very convenient to the Nationaltheatret station which I used for the Flytoget train, metro, and tram.

Loved staying at this hotel. It is well located with many restaurants, some museums, parks, the waterfront, and public transportation extremely nearby. All the staff were extremely friendly and helpful - including reception, restaurant, and cleaning staff. The hotel is well maintained, and the decor is charming - many interesting pieces of art everywhere. We stayed in a deluxe double with a courtyard view. It was quiet and relatively spacious. We had a meal in the restaurant, which was delicious and quickly served. The breakfast buffet included diverse and high-quality offerings. I would stay here again anytime! The lighting in the bathroom sink area was a bit dim (quite common in hotels unfortunately) and the wi-fi could be a bit slow but these are small things.

This hotel was just what we needed. It’s artsy with a great breakfast. Close to everything, in the heart of Oslo. The bed was so comfy and the shower was hot. The bar was a great surprise and quiet. I would stay here again. What a great boutique hotel.
