It was close to the whale shark spot, so I was able to take a shower after walking. If you let us know in advance, early check-in is possible by paying an additional peso per hour. It's a family-run place, so it's friendly and the service is friendly.
However, there were a lot of ants in the room, and I couldn't sleep comfortably because I was afraid of the ants crawling on the bed. I was afraid there would be ants if I covered myself with the blanket, so I just lay stiffly in bed and slept. There is no shower, so you have to run water in a basin and scoop it up with a bucket. There is also a veranda, but it has a street view, so it gets plenty of sunlight. If you dry your clothes, they will dry out in a few hours.

The team were friendly and helped carry our baggage up to our room; the room was average size for the Philippines and was tidy, and the bathroom was good, considering this is a budget hotel. the hotel is about a 5-minute walk up to the Oslob Whale Shark Street, where you gain entry to the water. Overall a place for a night just to see the whale sharks. The big downside is the noise from the trucks that are entering the area and the either blast horns or downshift and rev the heck out of their engines.
