Hotel is a SCAM with terrible service. I arrived on a 2 day business trip to the hotel, right from the first impression it didn't felt like a 4 star hotel. Room was very small with old (not in good way) furniture with no air condition and a small window that prevented most of the air to come inside. Later on I discovered that the hot water in the shower is not working, the front desk refused to believe me but after I insisted they said that they checked and the hotel's boiler is working and in the first floor there is hot water. I was explained that the pipes are old and I need some patience. After 10 minutes of cold water in the shower I asked to move to a different room in the first floor. The service desk refused and offered to fix the problem in the next day. I asked to leave the hotel due to the problem and get my money back. They agreed and told me it will be handled in the next morning. The next day they told me they have issues with the refund and it will take a few days. After I left the city I called again about the refund and they said that the manager decided not to refund me because there wasn't a problem. What a SCAM !!! avoid at all costs.

I booked this hotel for six of us headed to the World Junior hockey in Dec/ January. I had so much help from Kamilla in making sure we had what we needed. She was awesome. The hotel was very nice. Our rooms ..we opted for the bigger ones) were roomy, clean and comfortable. The desk staff were helpful and accomodating. The restaurant food was good, the buffet breakfast exactly what was needed and the location was great. An easy tram ride to the arena, or downtown with a stop just steps from the hotel. It was our home for 10 days and we loved every minute of it..thankyou, Kamilla, Radka, Hanna and all the other staff for making the trip great.

I recently spent a week here and found the hotel to be very clean and comfortable. The room was quiet and well-kept. The bed was just right, not too hard and not too soft. The bathroom was spotless. There were plenty of outlets and the lighting was more than sufficient. Reception was businesslike and professional. The breakfast offered had plenty of choices and was quite filling, especially as it was sometimes my only meal of the day. The only negatives were that the room was sometimes too hot and when ordering from the set menu in the restaurant at dinner, they were unwilling to accommodate dietary restrictions, telling us that no changes could be made. I would readily stay here again should my travels take me back to Ostrava in the future.

We stayed in the hotel for 4 nights this July 2023 in time for the BFL festival. Here were a lot of peole but on reception was very fast check-in and very friendly and clever team. Room 426 was clean - good job from cleaner Lucy :) The beds were comfortable. Maybe some small fridge is missing here - I think that is normally in hotels. We looked forward to breakfast every day because the food was very delicious. Huge range - salt and sweet and all fresh, yummy. Eggs, pancakes, porridge, garlic soupe, yoghurt, vegetables, fruits, hams, cheese, desserts, nutella, peanut butter, much types of bakery products ... all what you need to eat. Great coffee and juice, teas Wonderful work all team in restaurant. Every day with a smile and friendly mood. Cleaning dishes from tables, additional foods and drinks. I was excited!! :) Very funny was the cat robot for collecting the dishes :D My feelings are very positive and not last visit in this hotel. I look forward to the next visit. AATYeungPerfect place outside the centre of Ostrava for an overnight stay on a business trip. Travelling by car, there was a car park located in front of the hotel and without charge. The Hotel itself along with the room were very nice and clean. It has a good little restaurant next door but within the same building, perfect for dinner. Bedding and WIFI was great. Bathroom, nicely tiled and appealing. If anything, the rooms were a little warm but it should be noted that I did not make an attempt to adjust this. And to cap off the stay, Breakfast was superb. Having stayed at other establishments in Ostrava, I can safely say, for my value of my corporate allowance, I will definitely be returning.

Hotel located in the city center. Customer service at a high level and very friendly. Spacious room, standard equipped, very clean and tidy. Downstairs, you can have a delicious breakfast in the morning or order dinner. At the reception, you can also buy regional products or jewelery from local artists. We are very pleased and if we ever stay in Ostrava it is for sure at Hotel Maria.

GGuest UserVery beautiful location, but the homestay is on the mountain, it is an old house, it is not convenient to eat around, go out to take a car. The reception is a pair of kind elders. The hair dryer has to be borrowed, and there is no kettle.
