My car broke down. Couldn't make it to Ottawa. Informed after the fact no refund. Out over $500.  Then charged an additional $520. Never use this booking service again. So much for saving on hotels.

I liked pretty much everything about this hotel. Although it was a bit out of the way from downtown, the train station was within walking distance and Uber to downtown was sub-$15. The front desk team was great, and my upgraded suite was huge with a nice kitchenette. Underground parking was free and convenient as well. Breakfast was okay albeit a bit overpriced, and Courtyard’s new “Bistro” style was not my favourite, although to no fault of this particular hotel. Renovation has started on the higher floors and I have to say it’s definitely overdue for one, in fact this is the only reason why I didn’t give 5 stars - the current state of the rooms was just unacceptable in 2022. Once the renos are completed, this hotel will tick all the boxes for a 10/10 comment card.

As long as you have a car, this hotel represents excellent value while still having easy access to downtown, the Glebe and Rockcliffe Park.  Not the Ritz, but pleasantly furnished, clean, bright and spacious. Pool and fitness area is not fancy but is spotless and up-to-date. Bistro is  - again - not fancy but tasty, good service and reasonably priced. Over an 8 day visit every staff member I dealt with was exceptionally courteous, friendly, and helpful. Small issue - no netflix access in the rooms.

Easy drive to downtown Ottawa. Enjoyed the very spacious room with tons of counter space and a pull-out table. We stayed at a busy time... it seemed as though there were a few events or conferences going on, so it was difficult to catch an elevator. Still, the convenience to downtown coupled with free and ample parking space made this a stress-free stay for us.
