We stayed here in 2021 and the room was basic but OK. This time we found the room disappointing. There was nowhere to hang any clothes - 2 cupboards one with shelves and the other locked. The TV was the size of a postage stamp. No main light (one side light and one behind the bed) which also meant there was only one usable plug socket. Bathroom very dated and just a handheld shower head. Yes it is cheap but it needs updating.

OK for a one night stay when you get off the ferry, as it's very close. However, the bar closes at 10pm, which isn't good timing, as that's when the ferry arrives! Rooms are small, clean and basic. Good breakfast buffet with local products.

The rooms need an update , the bathroom was tired and had a strong unpleasant smell as no plug in the sink and the shower was difficult to use . I wouldn’t recommend.
But on the plus side it is pet friendly and the restaurant was very good .

A budget hotel close to the ferry. Very dated; small rooms and strange sewage smell in bathroom. Excellent location for the ferry to Portsmouth. Breakfast very good.

The room had a very unpleasant smell. The toilet was spalterred with drops of dried excrement. The shower floor was cracked, wall paper peeling off the walls, and low level cosmetic damage everywhere. Location convenient for ferry but I'd honestly rather sleep in my car.

An excellent place to stop for a night right by the ferry to the UK - a friendly, traditional cafe and hotel with comfortable clean rooms, a proper bath and excellent fresh bread for breakfast.

room was very small and there was no elevator, dining room staff were not very friendly, room furniture was old and dated, shower was small and awkward to get in and out, not very clean.
