海景房驚艷,公區都很漂亮,餐也做得不錯,是可以吃正餐的地方,咖啡不太行啦,免費停車,總體很滿意

We've always loved The Sea Marge. Varied menu and a beautiful room. But this time they got it wrong. Two of our group ordered the Pork Belly. It was an inch and a half of horrible white fat. We all know Pork Belly is fatty but there was hardly any meat on these plates. As a cook I wouldn't have sent that out. I'm sure they wanted to complain but didn't want to ruin the evening. The chef should have known better. Mains aren't cheap here and they were paying for ours so it was an expensive bill for them when their own meals were so poor. Quite embarrassing as we always recommend the Marge. More attention is needed.

The staff were pleasant and helpful. Dining room was very pleasant and welcoming. There was a well stocked bar where you could also order food if not wishing to eat in the dining area., also served on the terrace. Food was good, well presented with plenty of choice, we had a shared fish platter most enjoyable. Breakfast also well cooked plenty of choice. The gardens and views were lovely with plenty of seating areas. Possibly a downside was the bedroom we had was tired and could do with an upgrade, this did not detract from our most enjoyable visit and would recommend

A good location but badly managed and run. We spent last weekend at the hotel, a nice location and not cheap but it failed to deliver on a number of grounds. Having booked dinner Saturday evening and had a drink in the bar, we went to our table in a restaurant that was not overly busy. We were given the menu and asked for wine orders and told that we cannot take food orders as the chef is under pressure! Why accept a dinner booking you could not fulfil. The food was not great when it eventually arrived. Probably the chef’s revenge? Breakfast next morning was even worse, a 45 minute wait in a not overcrowded restaurant for eggs and a sausage, the bacon was not delivered and the hash browns had run out. Pretty basic really. The room was over the kitchen with a banging door that no attempt, despite complaining , was made to quieten. Not the place for a peaceful weekend. Despite the usual eco friendly statements in the room, the plug in the bathroom sink did not work and so had to leave water running all the time when using it. We had told reception early in our stay but no attempt was made to solve the problem. I expect that and the banging doors are still an issue. This should have been a pleasant weekend but what it desperately needs is some decent management. We emailed the hotel to set out our disappointment when we returned but sadly, unlike our room, there has been silence. That probably says it all.

Stayed for 2 nights beginning of May in a deluxe room, allocated room 2 which is lovely, comfortable, very spacious, with four poster bed, seating area and huge bathroom with a bath and a shower. Great views from both rooms of the sea and gardens. There is a disadvantage of this as it also facing the bar terrace area so if people are quiet and respectful all good, but could be an issue if not. Also the lift is next to this room which is quite noisy, luckily it wasn't going too much while we were there, but think this should be mentioned on booking or reflected in the price. We didn't have the house keeping do our room as we were only there for 2 nights, but on the first morning we were awakened from our lie in by a rather noisy staff member talking so loudly I could tell you his conversation, which was a bit annoying. The hotel need to train their staff on the importance of keeping their voices hushed when they are around the bedrooms as not all guests are checking out. The hub that they all work from is a couple of doors down so I would keep this in mind if you are booking a deluxe room. One other ****** is the fact that we were hoping to have a swim at the sister hotel as on our booking it said we would get a pass, but even though we paid nearly £400 for 2 nights,we were advised this was £6 extra each. We didn't eat at the hotel as thought breakfast was overpriced, and the dinner menu vegetarian options were not to our taste, and one dish called a cauliflower steak was £17!

We had a really lovely stay. The staff ( particularly the gentleman in charge who showed us to our room on arrival) food and hotel were excellent. Will definitely return.

We stayed at this wonderful hotel for a week just returning home today. It was our first stay at The Sea Marge but it will not be our last as hotels like this are rare in our experience. The building is beautiful oozes history with a calm peaceful vibe with lovely rooms which are spotlessly clean. Breakfast was perfect-with many options to choose from along with hot dishes served at table by amazing staff who were without a doubt exceptional, friendly, professional without being intrusive. They really did seal the best week away we have had in a long time so Thank you Sea Marge and see you again soon!
