Overall is good . Clean and nice place for family. Recommend it if you are driving a car. It’s a bit difficult to access if you take transport

The rooms are bright, clean and spacious. There is a small private parking area just outside the hotel. It's safe and located in a convenient location. Good choice!

There is a bus service, and it takes 20 minutes to get to the city. The room is well-equipped and the staff is very friendly!

The hotel is very comfortable and the boss is nice

很小的家庭旅館，床非常小，我先生1.9m睡覺摔下去了。床單乾淨，但是裏面被子很破舊。沒有空調，夏天很悶，衹有一個風扇。這個價格訂酒店吧，衞生長程度和設施差太遠了

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Marlborough House Hotel. We stayed for the night for a conference at the university, along with our 6 month old. From the warm welcome when booking to the kind accommodating for our little one, we were very impressed by the very clean, comfortable and spacious room for both us and our baby to rest in. The breakfast spread was very filling and delivered to the room, the staff were lovely and we got to explore the local area (Summertown and the surrounding parks) of this lovely area.) Thank you all for looking after us for our stay.

Very nice room, with lovely hospitality and recommendations for us ignorant tourists. Not to far away from a bus stop that goes straight into the city centre. The rooms all have kitchenettes and ours had a nice view out the window. A very english experience.

We stayed for just one night, as we live locally and had family visiting for Christmas. A very comfortable and spacious room, looking out onto the garden - it was quiet and peaceful, and we had a good night’s sleep. Everywhere was spotlessly clean. We shall visit again, and we look forward to it. Highly recommended.

Lovely visit. Very clean and lovely large airy room . Nice to have a fridge and microwave. Interesting literature and beautiful African book with quotes. Only problem was that we booked in and went straight out to see our daughter. On returning at 10:00pm, after reception was closed, we found no toiletries in our room. Luckily I had packed some hand soap and shampoo or we wouldnt have been able to wash our hands. No toiletries were supplied the rest of the stay. There were advertisements of toiletries at reception, the implication being that we would have to purchase these. Even if we had wished to, reception would have been closed. I do feel that minimum of some hand soap should have been provided free of charge.

We received a very warm welcome, and were allowed to check in several hours early. Room was big, well furnished, and comfortable. We particularly liked having a small table and kitchenette for our breakfast! Lovely toiletries provided in the bathroom. There is a small car park, and also on road parking. Couldn't have asked for friendlier, more welcoming hosts. Would definitely stay again.

This was a nice stay in Oxford. We traveled with a family of 5, two adults and three kids (14, 13, and 7 y/o). The rooms were both spacious (Rooms 5 &6), clean, and comfortable with a sitting table, chairs, microwave, and refrigerator. There was a modest continental breakfast included with our room price when we booked direct through them rather than through a hotel booking web site. I’m a light sleeper, so Room 5 was a little loud for my liking because it was right on a busy Main Street. However, once the windows were closed, it became much more quiet. So really, this is really only an issue on warmer days, because you have to choose between having a really warm or louder room. Room 6, however, was much quieter according to our kids. They said the room was very comfortable. The location encouraged some healthy walking and opportunities to take public transport, which I thought was great for us. It was a quick 15 min walk to Summertown, which had some great restaurants (highly recommend Mama Mia’s), and a quick bus ride into city center Oxford. The bus rides are quick, frequent, and affordable from the B&B location, so I would recommend that as the main form of transportation over paying the high price for a taxi. The receptionist at Marlborough House was truly lovely and very pleasant to interact with. I would give her 5 stars. The reason for my holding back on any higher review was really the sound, breakfast, and finally the price of the stay seemed a bit high. We did have a nice stay though.

Very comfortable stay, cheerful greeting on arrival, large quiet room, very clean bathroom, kitchenette a useful addition. Recommend booking direct for the free breakfast served in your room. In walking distance of shops and restaurants in Summertown, and easy bus trip to Central Oxford. Free parking outside. Would definitely stay again.
