IBB Hotel Paderborn Reviews

IBB is a DIY Hotel. You can check in from 2 to 6 pm at the reception - if you’re lucky. There’s a woman with an Eastern-European accent at the reception, who doesn’t seem to be bound to any regular times to be at work. Judging from her attitude, she seems to be connected to the management or the owners. Polite phrases are absent from her language, but orders aren’t. The cleaning lady on the other hand was super nice. If she’d manned the reception and the Russian lady would clean, it would be a boon for the guests. Checking in outside of the small time window, when the reception is manned, can be a challenge, particularly for foreigners. I helped a couple from abroad, who had unsuccessfully tried to call the German mobile phone number displayed at the entrance. They were stuck outside and didn’t know what to do. So I called the number, and the Russian woman mentioned above answers it and tells you what to do - literally. You have to type in a code, you’ll receive on the phone, into a metal box outside the entrance to get your card. I have no idea whether she speaks any English or not, so good luck. The rooms are quite modern, but wear and tear are already setting in. The TV remote in my room didn’t work properly, and the screen had a long scratch. There was dirt in the bathroom. There are supermarkets, fast food restaurants and a bakery close to the hotel. There is a Greek restaurant about 10 minutes walk away. As this is in a remote suburb of Paderborn, there isn’t much going on.

We went to Paderborn for the game, together with my son, hotel very pleasant, clean, recommend!

We like to use this hotel for a 1/2 night stay when we visit our children. The rooms are - if you get one with a sofa - a good size, bright and nicely designed. For a few nights you can do without a closet, but there is an open possibility with hangers. The bathroom is small and nice, the shower half open but of a comfortable length. If all soap dispensers are well stocked, toilet paper refilled, everything is ok - if not, it will be difficult, since the reception is very sparsely staffed and you can at least stand there stupidly at the weekend. It is remarkable that we sleep very well and the possibility of making coffee or tea, including material, is available in the room. In the building there is a bakery that does not belong to the hotel, where you can have a very good breakfast, on the weekends also as a buffet (9.50 €) or individually put together, just as you wish. So actually everything is ok, if you aren't one of the very early risers and are still in the room at around 9:00 a.m., it's better to hang up the "please do not disturb" sign, room service starts mercilessly early. This time we had a sheet with holes for the first time, but it was clean.

Das Hotel liegt doch etwas außerhalb, eine Bushaltestelle direkt vor dem Hotel ist aber vorhanden. Die Rezeption war nicht mehr besetzt als wir eintrafen, Check-In hat aber trotzdem super unkompliziert funktioniert. Das Zimmer war sehr geräumig und alles nötige vorhanden. Haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder!

Perfekte Ausgangslage für diverse Ausflüge wie Externsteine, Westfalen Therme, Safari Park uvm. Unschlagbarer Preis in der Region. Bäckerei, Supermarkt und Restaurants direkt angrenzend

The stay was great, we booked 5 rooms Comp drink was part of our package, but none of us received them.

Really great balcony and rooms, proper enjoyed the stay would recommend

A tiny fridge in the room would be great.

Clean and modern. Self check-in. Convenient if driving, with parking nearby. Several fast-casual restaurnats nearby and a good bakery at the rear of the property.
