At the heart of Pura Vida is love, care and attention for their customers. We really felt like the staff and owner wanted us to enjoy our stay and were so sweet and lovely. The location of Pura Vida is absolutely perfect for serenity and enjoying the Pai countryside. I went for walks in the morning and got to see the rice padis, local wildlife, viewpoints and nature. It was so beautiful. A little out of town allows to enjoy this and only a 10 min scooter ride to the centre. The actual space of Pura Vida is green and luscious; the garden and pond area being so peaceful and pretty. The rooms are good and clean. I like the rustic Thai style with the bamboo and wood. The beds were comfortable, and although just a double size we were ok. If you’re a ‘larger’ couple you may find it a squeeze. Ultimately we really enjoyed our time here.

I'm really happy with my stay here! It was just as amazing as it looked in the pictures. The retro vibe made me feel like I was living back in time during the 70s-80s. The famous Pai walking street is 7-minute drive away. Since there's no Grab or Bolt, renting a bike is the way to go. Walking for over 30 minutes can be a bit of a trek. Hotel got heaps of cats ❤️

Lovely hotel, perfect walking distance from Pai centre. Free shuttle also offered. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. Big mugs for coffee, large bowls for cereal. Eggs made to order. Loved the finishing touches, robes, local soaps and herbal washes. Room is perfect, views to die for. Absolute value for money, would certainly book every time. My baby catered for with extra water, towels and a huge comfy cot.

We had a wonderful relaxing time at the Quarter Pai. We had two rooms with a shared balcony for our family - two adults and two children. The rooms were spacious and tastefully decorated and the cleaning was effective. The hotel staff were helpful - for example using the pool net to rescue a small ball that nearly got lost under the low balcony outside our room. The pool was great for the kids and we spent lots of time playing in it. There are very shallow sections at one end for younger children. The reception staff were helpful and attentive, though sometimes google translate came in handy. The hotel is a a short walk out of town (5-10 minutes from the start of the main 'walking street') and the hotel runs a shuttle which is helpful on very hot days or in the rain. There was a lot of work going on at the hotel when we were there to spruce it up after the quieter times that all of the hotels in this area have experienced. Pai itself is lovely. There are tons of lovely small cafes and little shops. Lots of activities nearby. And it's easy to get to with a 3-4 hour bus journey from Chiang Mai. The hotel breakfast was good.

Nice hotel situated near to the main walking street in Pai. Our ground floor room was spacious with a large bed and lovely terrace overlooking the pool. The toilet and shower were a little bit claustrophobic. The pool was clean at the start of our stay however turned a murky green colour in the last days.

Village hut style rooms are compact and non sound proof so your neighbor does hear u rocking the bed or squelchy floorboard while u walk around. 3 car lot just at front of hotel along a busy street that turn into a night market infused with scooters for rental and bars. Seconds away from street food. Lovely frog sounds while u sleep. Muzzie coil are provided daily. Simple breakfast menu and not bad chargrill steak at night. Housekeeping does provide random gift/staff every evening.

We really enjoyed Pai as it had so much to offer! You definitely should rent a scooter to get about. The hotel was quick and easy to check into. The owner works very hard. However the hotel was a little dated and could do with some cleaning in the bathroom. Our beds were comfy and we had an amazing view! Great location as if was 5minute drive away from everything! We loved the night market too! Amazing street food! I didn’t like the fact the owners dog constantly barked at motor cycles and wasn’t friendly towards guests. However a lot of time and love has gone into the hotel.

The photos of the indoor courtyard are not up-to-date, a kind of house was built as a breakfast room, thereby 8 rooms are almost without light, the terrace is bordered to the breakfast room and you must always keep the closed views of the hangs closed. As soon as breakfast begins, you don't sleep anymore.
The pool is not cleaned! On the day the swimming pool is running pump, which is so noisy that a conversation does not go, this stands directly at the breakfast room and window of the rooms.
The hotel is not worth the money! I wouldn't stay here anymore!
Otherwise the rooms in other areas of the hotel would be OK.

After a long period of epidemic, I finally came back and stayed at my beloved hotel again. I love the environment, scenery, and food as much as ever, so much so that I dragged my friends to stay in the hotel for 24 hours.
When I went out, I felt that I didn't want to book a room here.

The villa is beautiful, though the walk from the check in to the villa is far (we got the river view) so not for those handicap people to lug bags around. The spa pool in the room are not cleaned, so it's a waste of one of the best features. The entrance is hard to find so try not to go at night, one 1 staff working that I saw for check in, the walk to the villa is also quite dark. TIPS: Quite alot of insect, so bring your own insecticide if you hate bugs. They have a hot spa pool though, bring your swim suit.

Outstanding
AAnonymous UserThe hotel is not big, and there are several rooms that seem to have not been renovated. It is about one kilometer away from the bus station. The key points are the advantages: 1. The service of the hotel is very good. There is a young man who can speak Chinese to take care of the pick-up and drop-off, which is convenient for entering and leaving; 2. The waiters are very enthusiastic, and the Chinese brother explained to us for a long time with the map; 3. The breakfast is rich, with rice noodles, fried rice noodles, various fruit juices, and the taste is not bad; 4. We are the only Chinese in the whole hotel. Sunrise came to have breakfast, and there were only seven of us; 5. We booked a room on the first floor where we could go boating directly, and the price was only 500 (RMB), with free fruit and afternoon tea.
YyleelekSuggest to take the balcony room to enjoy the ambience by the small stream running pass by. It s so good sitting at balcony. The property is very clean and well maintained. Staffs are friendly and polite. Breakfast is a la cart but served as much as you want, which is good. The only pitfall staying would be the noise from the pub nearby. I was staying at the end of the property upstairs , still heard the music clearly. But that was friday night. Not sure whether the music would be this loud on weekdays.
GGuest UserAbsolutely stunning! I had a wonderful three night stay, by myself (female), in a standard villa. The resort grounds are well kept while maintaining a natural feeling. The mountainous views from my room, the pool and the breakfast area were divine! It was quiet and peaceful, exactly what I needed. Enjoyed walking around at sunset. The staff were unbelievably kind, accommodating and attentive. Breakfast was included along with drinking water and fresh towels. They made my breakfast vegan for me upon request. Can’t beat fresh mango and banana every morning! My room was clean with working amenities including fan, air conditioner, how shower and fridge. There were little benches to sit out front, which could have been a little wider, so I enjoyed the hammock instead. The pool is big, beautiful and when I was there was perfectly very clean. I felt comfortable swimming and sitting on the pool chairs. The resort is located ten minuets outside of town and the staff will drive you in and out of town, free of charge. I wanted to be away from town but still accessible and that’s exactly what I got. There are some places along the main road you can walk to (or bike to , you can borrow a bike), such as Coffee in Love. When I arrived at the bus station I called and they directed me to turn right and head a few mins down the walking street and wait at the 7-11 on the corner. This is where I was dropped off and picked up other times I went into town. When the walking street was open to cars they drove me right to the bus station to leave. It’s definitely on the older side, but that didn’t take away from my experience.. it added to it! I felt so at home and well taken care of the whole time. My entire stay was 10/10 and I would definitely return again.
GGuest UserIf you're looking for a truly immersive cultural experience, this is the place for you. It wasn't quite what I expected, but in a unique and memorable way. The ”cottage room” was charming but different from what I anticipated. It had no windows, except for the door, and the walls were constructed with bamboo, and for the windows there were branches that created gaps instead of traditional glass windows. As a result, I could hear the loud music from neighboring guests and the constant hum of traffic from the nearby road. Thankfully, earplugs were provided to help dull the noise.
I stayed in early November, when the weather was cool and rainy, so it wasn’t uncomfortable, but I imagine it could be much less pleasant during the summer months, despite the fan provided in the room. The communal bathroom is separate from the cottages but has a cozy, quaint feel.
The hostess was an absolute delight—welcoming, warm, and kind-hearted. Her generosity made the stay even more special. Overall, it was a one-of-a-kind experience that I won't soon forget.
亚亚当Absolutely stunning little cottage cabins perched on the bottom slope of a hill. Close enough to the east side of ”downtown” pai (especially if you rent a bike). The sunset views from second floor bungalow balconies (I recommend #7; no one staying directly below) and the two cabins around the little pond are fantastic. For the negatives, the close proximity of the cabins can be annoying (when, for example, you have a selfish gap-year kid next door listening to his lame-ass music at midnight), which also means there's not a lot of sound privacy to most of the cabins. But it's not unbearable. The shower pressure is crappy (same as most places), and I would have liked bottled water every day, or a way to get drinking water other than walking to the reception during working hours to get more water. Overall, a really beautiful spot and well managed, recommended.
初初一姑娘Very beautiful, very beautiful, I have sprung up, the idea of coming here to care for the elderly! It is not far from the Pai River. From the hotel to the city, you only need to cross a river, about 5 minutes. Although the breakfast is simple, it is delicious! Free coffee, the room is beautiful, perfect for vacation, sunbathing and leisure time! The only bad thing is that you will hear rat jumping on the roof at night.
GGuest UserIt is situated rather far away from the walking street but made up by the free transport arrangement to bring guests to and back from the town centre where eateries and bars are located. The single pro and con are both related to its location and accessibility. Furthermore, from the micro perspective, accessibility is also about within the premises. It is certainly not wheel chair friendly and those carrying luggages should avoid upper floor as it is staircase only. In fact I think the hotel management should advise its customers that they should not bring their luggage along to check in but after checking in at the counter, then bring the luggage via the carpark slop, to avoid climbing steps to reach their rooms My second take on this lace is that while it is named a resort and indeed its external environment is a resort like setting, the rooms need to maintain a certain degree of upkeep in housekeeping. The bathroom is certain ly below expectation - at best 2-star. I am not sure why the handle of the shower is made entire of metal as when hot water passes through it, it is quite impossible to hold it without being “burned”. The water pressure of the heater is inconsistent thus resulted in uneven passing out of hot water, making balancing a continuous fussing game. It is such a pity that such minus issues are overlooked by the hotel management which may affect retuning customers.
AAnastasia KBura Lumpai was a wonderful place to stay. Me and my boyfriend spent a week there, our room was huge, as was the balcony, and the resort is full of beautiful little houses and stylish bungalows. Good WiFi and huge, comfortable beds. The place is clean and quiet, a perfect getaway from city life and within reach of Pai centre. The resort offers a free pick up service that will take you to town and pick you up if you need, which was a lovely gesture. The staff are friendly and leave you to yourselves while always keeping your room clean and stocked with water. The location is a little far from town but close to such tourist attractions as Pai Canyon, rice fields and Memorial Bridge, as well as the hot springs. The pool is also lovely and clean! The only minus for me was the restaurant on site which seemed to always be out of one thing or another, and I would not recommend the smoothies there. Apart from that, more than satisfied :) thank you!
AAnonymous UserI had a great stay here. Location was perfect for me. You can have a breakfast watching river and take a walk along the river. It is located in the corner of Pai walking street, so you can walk to walking street any time. Also, it is close to the Pai bus terminal( walking distance). Room was spacious and clean. But, don’t expect like 4star hotel service here. There is no receptionist. There is a lady doing multi roles(working at front desk, hotel restaurant,…I am sure many more). She was busy but very helpful. I enjoyed my staying here and I will book this hotel again next time when I travel to Pai.
GGuest UserA pleasant relaxed place in Pai to enjoy together. It is here peaceful, very green and friendly staff! It was no problem to book another night on the same day. In the morning we got another banana offered from their own garden, we are all fans!
