Hotels near Wat Thung Yao, Pai

It is situated rather far away from the walking street but made up by the free transport arrangement to bring guests to and back from the town centre where eateries and bars are located. The single pro and con are both related to its location and accessibility. Furthermore, from the micro perspective, accessibility is also about within the premises. It is certainly not wheel chair friendly and those carrying luggages should avoid upper floor as it is staircase only. In fact I think the hotel management should advise its customers that they should not bring their luggage along to check in but after checking in at the counter, then bring the luggage via the carpark slop, to avoid climbing steps to reach their rooms My second take on this lace is that while it is named a resort and indeed its external environment is a resort like setting, the rooms need to maintain a certain degree of upkeep in housekeeping. The bathroom is certain ly below expectation - at best 2-star. I am not sure why the handle of the shower is made entire of metal as when hot water passes through it, it is quite impossible to hold it without being “burned”. The water pressure of the heater is inconsistent thus resulted in uneven passing out of hot water, making balancing a continuous fussing game. It is such a pity that such minus issues are overlooked by the hotel management which may affect retuning customers.

Country park-style resort hotel, right by the river, ten minutes walk from the center, all kinds of convenience, but the bar is too noisy at night~ the service is still good, it is recommended that the flowers and plants be properly trimmed~ many messy places are very unsightly! To go to Pai County, you have to know how to take a car~ Otherwise, you will vomit to death hahahahahaha

Overall a lovely stay with no issues. A great price for what you get. The hotel has a fantastic location on the Main Street. Everything is within a 10 minute walk. You can’t fault the location. The rooms are large and spacious. Clean and tidy. With a Fan and AC. Fridge, kettle, hairdryer, tea/coffee and water provided. The staff were lovely. They didn’t have good English, but tried there best. Breakfast was included. Was a selection of tea/coffee/juice/water, toast, cereals and fruit to have. With 1 choice of a freshly cooked main dish, such as omelettes.

Village hut style rooms are compact and non sound proof so your neighbor does hear u rocking the bed or squelchy floorboard while u walk around. 3 car lot just at front of hotel along a busy street that turn into a night market infused with scooters for rental and bars. Seconds away from street food. Lovely frog sounds while u sleep. Muzzie coil are provided daily. Simple breakfast menu and not bad chargrill steak at night. Housekeeping does provide random gift/staff every evening.

We really enjoyed Pai as it had so much to offer! You definitely should rent a scooter to get about. The hotel was quick and easy to check into. The owner works very hard. However the hotel was a little dated and could do with some cleaning in the bathroom. Our beds were comfy and we had an amazing view! Great location as if was 5minute drive away from everything! We loved the night market too! Amazing street food! I didn’t like the fact the owners dog constantly barked at motor cycles and wasn’t friendly towards guests. However a lot of time and love has gone into the hotel.

I enjoyed my three days here. It is well located in the city center, the rooms are modernly decorated, very clean and free wifi. The first floor is very beautiful, with a large wooden pavilion in the middle, with comfortable cushions and a variety of books. The waiters were friendly and helpful, especially Neung, very enthusiastic (on the map) to point us out the places to play inside and outside the hotel. She is very talented and really makes me feel welcome and cherished. I will definitely come back later.

Nice hotel situated near to the main walking street in Pai. Our ground floor room was spacious with a large bed and lovely terrace overlooking the pool. The toilet and shower were a little bit claustrophobic. The pool was clean at the start of our stay however turned a murky green colour in the last days.

While this is 20 mins walk or 5 min drive away from the main walking street, the tranquil surroundings aid in peaceful sleep apart from a few roosters crowing in the morning. The hotel is very safe as the owner will lock it up with an electronic locker from 11pm. Cozy and not crowded at all....with 7 eleven nearby as well. The owner is a really nice and honest chap who passed me back money that i accidentally dropped at the resort. The space may be tiny but for a solo traveller, it was gd. The room is clean and bed relatively comfortable. But the shower heater doesnt seem to work well. The staff are warm and friendly. While the breakfast is simple, it has a good home cooked meal. And yes it is just next door to Pai Yoga Shala a lovely yoga studio run and owned by nice Thai lady. Dropped in for a nice yoga class in the morning and enjoyed the vinyasa class.

Lovely hotel, perfect walking distance from Pai centre. Free shuttle also offered. Breakfast is fresh and delicious. Big mugs for coffee, large bowls for cereal. Eggs made to order. Loved the finishing touches, robes, local soaps and herbal washes. Room is perfect, views to die for. Absolute value for money, would certainly book every time. My baby catered for with extra water, towels and a huge comfy cot.

This resort is perfectly located a few short miles from the busy activity of Pai town and major tourist attractions. The bungalows are spread across the landscaped terraces, separated by flowering trees and fish ponds. In Jan 2023 the resort installed new, spring mattresses and upgraded internet service and wifi technology to the best available in Thailand. The free, high-speed wifi service is available resort-wide, making the Pond Terrace a perfect shared workspace for digital nomads and those traveling for work. The breakfast options (included in the price) included Muesli with yogurt or honey, French Toast, or full American Breakfast. Fresh tropical fruit from local farms is included with each. Finally, the coffee options included American coffee, espresso, cappuccino, latte made from freshly ground coffee beans from northern Thailand. We have lived and travelled in Thailand for 8 years. This resort ticks all the boxes! We will return--often!
