Ibis Styles Paignton

Had an issue where I booked three rooms but the hotel could only find the one room booked. Showed the staff my booking details from Trip and they could see I had three. After about 20 minutes they gave me the two additional rooms and they said they would investigate. Really pleased that they were able to sort this out very quickly. Breakfast was really good. Only two minutes walk to the sea front. We had access to the the site 25 hour gym and their spa. My mum was the only one who went and she enjoyed it. Would definitely go back again.

We enjoyed our stay here . Hotel and Rooms fresh and clean , great views if you have a sea view room. Parking onsite which is a bonus, didn’t mind having to pay a small fee . A Spa onsite is a bonus . Manager works hard covering many roles in the hotel, including chef - making crepes on the evening. Evening meal was pleasant . 3. suggestions for improvement: 1. Use good quality ingredients for breakfast ( eggs and sausages were not great ). 2. Additional/ ongoing training in hospitality, perhaps new employees recently onboarded, were lacking in experience . 3. Staff should wear a standard uniform, one lady on reception looked scruffy. In this industry appearances are everything. Otherwise, a very pleasant stay, would definitely stay again. Thank you

The property didnt help as asked for more pillows and they never gave them , when asked and the tv had really bad signal also gad to buy water, as was advised not yo use thr water to brush teeth ss problems in the area

This hotel was perfect. It's simple and elegant, I recommend a room with the sea view as the sunrise over the bay is simply beautiful. The breakfast was simple but had many options for fussy eaters. The area leaves a lot to desire but that's no reason to fault the review of the hotel.

We have been to IBIS hotels in different countries and thinking this would be great we booked in Paignton. But this was wrong decision. Bathrooms were not cleaned and bins not even changed after previous guests. Booked double rooms but got twin bed room. Breakfasts not great choices and terrible. Receptionist lady was not helpful at all. Just for the sake of telling said apologies for the bins not emptied and not cleaned. When I asked if the bathrooms are cleaned she said “hope so” which I wasn’t expecting at all. Not great choice for lunch and dinner even drinks…. Worst experience in IBIS ever.

One thing I can say, the rooms in this hotel are amazing in fact the best rooms you can get. You get some amazing views of the seafront but that’s it. There is a lack of staff the receptionist is working both on the desk and behind the bar along with the manager who serves the food so waiting for food is too long. The desk is left completely empty which for me brings up a lot of security concerns. But I do love the hotel I just wish they would hire more staff to cope with the volume of people.

The location is brilliant, the staff very friendly and helpful and the room was bright and clean. The view from the room was the best bit, as was the huge comfy bed! The only thing I'd personally do differently if we stayed again is to eat somewhere else

Newish, basic hotel in a good location on the Seafront in Paignton. Booked here to stay one night after a few nights in Torquay. Checked in to the room around 2:30pm, air con wasn't working on arrival as it was showing an error message and a temperature of 24 deg on the screen. Turned the TV on and that wasn't working either. Went down to the Reception team on three occasions over the next few hours. First time I was told there were TV issues in the hotel (which apparently our next door neighbor wasn't experiencing!) and on each occasion they said maintenance would check our AC or it would be reset remotely. Returned around 6:30pm only to find nothing had been done and the room was now even hotter. Only after I got slightly annoyed was a change of room offered (same category room and on a lower floor). Need to check these type of things on their room checks I think. This aside, room was basic but comfortable, breakfast adequate, free Wi-Fi, you know what you are getting with an Ibis. Parking isn't great in Paignton but advise parking at the Inn on the Green car park at the back of the hotel which was £12 for 24 hours.
