I have been to Jawai many times and have stayed at other properties. This time our stay at Amritara was exceptionally good. We could not have asked for more, the whole team made our stay a memorable one we would cherish always. 1. I don't think any better location for the lake view exists in the area and around. The evening sunsets are the most mesmerizing. 2. Food was also very tasty and as per our preference, loved all the items chef had prepared for us. Narayan ji Chef has magic with his cooking, and hence yummy meals! Also KP singh ji and Aakash ji from the service team at the restaurant were very accommodating and fast with their service. 3. Service was also exceptional with the staff always ready to help. Prakash ji from the housekeeping team was always there to help us though-out our stay, With whatever we needed from hikes to the temple, to walks to the rocky hills around the lake, to the setups laid by the team etc. 4. Extra efforts by the team by setting up different meal venues with panoramic views of Jawai. Ghanshyam ji from the front office ***** with his team were very kind to arrange these surprise setups. Would like to thank all the team for this memorable stay, we will soon be coming back.

Our stay at Amritara Jawai recently, was a perfect example of great hospitality at such a remote place. We thoughoruly enjoyed our stay. The entire team and staff is very courteous and hard working. Food, oh my god, you can't imagine such a tasty food with good spread available at this location. All thanks to the chef Narayan. The entire team, Dinesh, Suresh, Prakash and Pravin were very helpful. God bless all of them. Keep doing good work.

The location of Amritara Hotel is very scenic and beautiful. We went for safari twice in two days which was a very adventurous and thrilling experience especially when there was a steep climb (up and down) over the boulders in the jeep. The staff at the hotel was helpful and attentive. Highly recommended to folks visiting Jawai.

Had read a few mixed reviews about Amritara Jawai and was a bit concerned but all that was put to rest once we visited it. Its right near the edge of the dam and apparently gets flooded in rains so can reach by. We got rooms with a wonderful view and the staff right from manager Jasvant Singh to Dinesh who served us and the chef were all wonderful. The food was outstanding and absolutely out of this world. Its also about the location and we had with two leopards right near the hotel who sometimes come down to the pool area. Totally there are 7 leopards nearby. I would highly recommend visiting Amritara if you want to visit Jawai. Its really value for money.

Sadly for stay in this resort resident Indians are not much welcomed here as much as foreigners even if you have booked highest category of rooms and paid as much as foreigners. We had stayed here for 2 nights from 2-4 April 2024 and booked 2 rooms called paradise view on the first floor with views of the Jawai dam. First up the manager only surfaced from his slumber and got the staff working by cleaning the pool, removing leaves which were strewn around the property only when a group of foreigners who had booked 2 or 3 rooms and were clearly part of group tour were supposed to arrive. Before that when we arrived the rooms were not used and had dust all around and had big fat lizards which clearly showed not much cleaning had taken place. As we were tired after drive from Udaipur airport and had afternoon safari and returned at the resort by 8:30 pm there was no one to complaint. The manager was not present at all so we left a word with people who at the restaurant. Next morning after returned from safari things were moving fast with lots of cleaning and then we learned from the cleaning boys that foreigners are arriving that’s why they are cleaning up. Food was strictly okay with laal maas served only with bones and meat for guess whom ! Even the paneer ans chicken tikkas were rubbery ans chewy so we made do with dal rice and veggies. When you are treated like this all other good things come to naught. very important that this review is published to that Indians know what they are getting for their money.

We stayed here for two nights. One the first night we had drinks around an open fire which was lovely. The food was okay. The rooms on the first floor of each block had great views and a lovely balcony, with comfy beds. Getting to the hotel from the road was quite an experience as it was a bumpy track, and the hotel jeeps collected us and our luggage from our minibus in the town. Overall it was an interesting experience.

Good location but as the road to it is filled with back waters from dam reservoir one has to reach by boat which is cumbersome & one feels marooned in that place. Not worth the tariff.Food is spicy & okay. The safari ride from the hotel is costly & leopard sighting is rare.Suggest stay near bera as the hills there are small & sighting is more easy & nearer.

We received a call from the property manager Mr Jaswant on the day of our arrival enquiring about our time of arrival. When we reached the village in which the resort is located, we were informed by the villagers that the road to the resort is flooded, and we can’t go there in our Innova. But Mr Jaswant had already sent two of his staff to take us to the resort. We were informed that we have to take a boat to reach the resort. My wife got panicked as to where is this located for which we have to take a boat ride. But it was a nice short boat ride. The water was not more than four feet deep. We were welcomed by Mr Vikas Chauhan, General Manager himself and he took personal interest to make our stay memorable ( he does it for all the guests!!) Every time you have to go anywhere, they will take you in the boat. And we must say that we thoroughly enjoyed the boat ride. They made arrangement for our driver to stay in the village. But this boat ride experience is available only during monsoon season when they store water in Jawai reservoir. After November the water is released for irrigation and the road becomes operational, so you won’t be able to enjoy the boat ride. It’s like paradise - beautiful, calm, clean property with fresh air free of any pollution overlooking the Jawai Dam. You will hear only chirping of birds during the daytime and chirping sound of crickets during night. The view from our room was superb with granite rocks on one side and water in front beyond which are more granite rocks. You get to see superb sunset from the balcony. Choose Paradise View room which is on first floor. It justifies its name. The rooms are big and nice with a large balcony. The entire team of the property is super gentle, humble and caring. They take good care of the guests. They prepared local delicacies for us, and the food was super tasty. This being a small property one gets personalised service. On our request they provided us millet rotis also. We are just back from there and we have already started planning for our next visit.

Good Location. Nice rooms and good view from room. Courteous and helpful staff. They arranged Leopard Safari at short notice. The approach road was submerged in water and car could not go. We had to go in boat (also arranged by hotel). However, we were not told of this before while booking (MakeMyTrip). Had we known we would have booked one day less. In spite of having two-day booking, we left after one day. The Safari in unique. Not for the leopards, but for the rock climbing by the jeep at 60-degree gradients without any roads. A bit scary and senior citizen need to be careful (back problems). Food was disappointing. Buffet. They did ask our choice. Too spicy. Overall, a good place for one day (Unless you want to do safari more than once)
